Where are these hefty bags manufactured? United States or some other country such as China?

United States, I was not happy with them. The boxes were bent so bad, I don't know how many will have rips or holes. I will purchase them from the store the next time.

How may sandwiches does the quart size accommodate?

You could probably get 2 in it. I use it for storage, chips, pretzels, etc. instead of sandwiches. They have special just for sandwiches.
