This may seem like an unusual use of a glass cutting board, but numerous people were extolling the virtues of a glass palette for painting (gouache, acrylic, oil). All the ones I found aimed at artists were too big for my purposes - some going up to 40cm x 40cm when all I wanted was a couple of smaller, roughly A5 ones.I then stumbled upon these and purchased them, and they have been working brilliantly. I have tried both acrylic and gouache on them and have had no issues - with the use of a glass scraper I can easily remove any leftover paint from a painting session and have a nice, quickly cleaned palette ready for the next session.

I actually used these for the base of a DIY backdrop stand, so not quite what they were intended for! But they worked so well and took to the gold spray paint and glue very well

Glass mats...do what they are designed to do.

The title says it all really. I can't find one of the feet so I just hope it doesn't break my new dishwasher.
