Little Turtle Tries (Hello Genius)

These hello genius book by Michael Dahl are great for my ASD/ADHD son who has difficulty focusing when there is a lot of pictures on a book page. The sentences are short and concepts easy which also help him. Also love that they are board books which helps the sensory aspect for my son (and he is not gentle with things). We have several of these books and like them all! Recommended for 18 mo - 4 developmental years.

Good quality book with fun images. Unfortunately, the story didn't do enough. I was hoping for multiple examples of perseverance. But instead this entire story is only 1 event of the turtle trying to get dressed and putting his clothes on the wrong body part. By time he is dressed it's bedtime and time to get undressed. It's cute, but it wasn't the 'keep trying' encouragement that toddlers really need.

Disappointing! We loved Little Monkey Calms Down so I gave this one a chance even though there were no reviews. I returned it immediately. I can't remember super specifics anymore but it was bad. I'm sorry this sounds lame cause I don't have details, but I just wanted to put this out there. If you're a fan of Little Monkey Calms Down, you'll most likely be really disappointed with this book.
