Not sure
The packaging is really clever because it can posted through a letterbox. As for the product, I didn’t really notice a difference to my sleep, though I have been feeling particularly anxious and tend to wake in the night.

Nice packaging, not sure of the dose
I have been taking 5HTP for a while now, I have ME, chronic headaches and migraines as well as periods of anxiety and low mood. 5HTP can be used as a sleep aid, to help reduce migraines and as a mood enhancer. As with all supplements do your research first and check that you can take it alongside any prescribed medication. The main warning is if you are already taking antidepressants you can’t mix with these. Most starting regimes start at 50 or 100mg with 100 to 300mg suggested for use as a sleep aid. I take 200mg at night before bed which seems to work for me combined with meditation or relaxation sleep stories (I am lucky that I have access to the full headspace app via my employer).I got these when my previous ones were about to run out, i liked the slim line packaging, the supplements I take do seem to take up a lot of room. However that’s when my trouble started. The first night I just could not get to sleep, I figured change in formulation and it may take a few days. I have persevered for a whole month and they are just not doing what I expect. I am still unsure if its a change of formulation or if I am under dosing myself. The dose on the package claims each tablet is 100mg of 5HTP but most brands will tell you the extraction ratio either on the packet or on the product listing. I can’t see this confirmed anywhere. The ratios that I generally see are:16:1 so 100mg tablet would be 6.25mg 5HTP8:1 so 100mg tablet would be 12.5mg of 5HTPPure (98 to 98%) so pretty much what the tablet advertises itself to be.So I have either been very much under dosing or it really is just a case of the formula but fillers etc shouldn’t make that much difference to the actual effects. These are also very expensive as I need more than one tablet to get my desired dose and being generous that it is a pure extract this is still only a months supply. They are easy to swallow. On the whole I do think 5HTP is a worth while supplement, its just worth spending your time researching a bit first, as an introduction these maybe good for you.

I was sceptical ... but have been forced to think again.
I have to confess that I was sceptical about whether taking this supplement would actually have any noticeable effect on my sleep pattern ... but that sceptic in me is now having to eat his words!I have been taking these Echor 5-HTP Sleep Supplement capsules for a week or so now and I have been having the most restful sleep that I can remember having in a long time. Not only have I been settling off easily, but I haven't been experiencing my usual bouts of reawakening during the night either. So, there is much to like about this supplement:+ Effective natural aid to sleep (not chemically induced).+ Quality ingredients.+ Easy to swallow capsules.+ Suitable for people following vegetarian / vegan diets.Any downsides?- Well, at 38p per day (based on current advertised price of £22.99 and recommended dosage of 1 capsule per day) these are certainly not cheap ... but they do work.- My only other gripe would be the use of excessive packaging. As you can see from the photos, the product is packed inside a "letter box friendly" plastic pack, which is very common for supplements now ... but then this is also packed inside a cardboard box. This may look visually more appealing, but does nothing else to protect the integrity of the product.Overall, I have been surprising impressed with this supplement. It is not cheap, but it certainly lives up to its claims and does what you want it to.I hope you find these insights helpful.

Are they working? - difficult to tell
I’ve been taking mirtazipine to help me sleep for a while now - but I wish to cut down on its use.In the past when I’ve tried to give it up, I’ve hardly slept a wink: I therefore concluded I needed to try something friendlier in its place rather simply stop using it.I’ve therefore stopped taking them for three non-consecutive nights - substituting these in their place. I found I did sleep better than when I’d not taken anything - though somewhat fitfully.I’m going to continue weaning myself off the medication - while taking these supplements instead - and will revisit this review in two minutes months.

Not much effective
This sleep supplements come in a compact box, easy storage and good supply. The supplements are made from a good combination of compounds that in theory help regulate the melatonin, the hormone responsible for sleep regulation. It does not seem to be so effective in my experience, unfortunately did saw some improvement but not that much to feel refreshed. Its one of this cases that its a hit or miss, for me it didnt work, hope it can help other people.

Didn't work for me but I do have a large prescription quota.
I've suffered from insomnia for about 15 years and take 4 or 5 amitriptyline which don't work that well. I was so hopeful of this sleep supplement but sadly they've not helped at all. In fairness though I'm on a medley of medications so they may be preventing the ingredients in these capsules from doing their job.If you don't take many or any other prescription meds these may work for you but if like me you're on a cocktail of meds they may not work.

No noticeable change but it’s early days!
When I read that Echor 5-HTP Sleep Supplement capsules with Magnesium and Montmorency Cherry improve deep restful sleep I hoped they’d help my husband. He’s been taking them for a few days now and although he’s not noticed any great change in his sleep pattern it’s still early days and I think the capsules will probably have a cumulative effect so he’ll keep taking them - watch this space!
