I always debadge all my emblems from all my cars. I love the clean look from all my car. I own a 2014 Sierra Crew Cab 4x4. So at 1st I start out using fishing line to remove my emblems. If anyone want know how do that. Just check out YouTube. It like flossing ur teeth. Any emblems comes off with ease. I used this 3m wheel after that. All the 3m tape was gone and my paint was flawless. Not even one single scratch. Amazing!!! Only problem is after all emblems is take off. There the left over 3M tapes. Doesn't matter which car or truck maker. 3M tape is quality and tuff to remove. At 1st I used my old method. A little Goo Gone and microfiber cloth. Bad idea do to black paint!! Left a lot of micro scratches. All my pass cars was white, so this Never was a problem. After doing one fender where 4x4 emblem at. I called quits and call it a night. Went home and ordered this 3m wheel. 2 days and it came home. Took the wheel and went straight to work. I have a 1700rpm delwat drill. Worked great at max drill rpm. It was perfect and fast. What took me hours in pass, now done in 30 min. I recommend using rpm that recommend. Do not go over!! This wheel work great at low rpm. Once all the 3m tape was remove. The wheel didn't made a single scratch on my black paint. I can't say enough. This wheel is magic. Best bang for my buck!!!

Best Buy I’ve made in a long time. Worked like a charm in getting two sides tape off my truck. No paint damage at all. Not sure I could have hurt the paint if I had tried. Keep in mind, it will wear down. Buy an extra one if you can.

Bought this to help remove decals on a 20 year old sea Ray bow rider. Some of the sturdier decals we were able to take off with the heat gun and they peeled off pretty well but bigger decals were too old and brittle. This product worked amazingly well in removing the decals and I was using a battery operated Sears drill that only went to 1500 RPMs but it worked fine. The battery lasted less than 15 minutes so I had to make sure I had several batteries. Very pleased but the outcome. Had a lot of success moving the drill in an up-and-down motion going from right to left

Pros: After spending an hour trying to manually peel off a 7yr old hood decal that previous owner purchased new with the vehicle, I decided to give this a try. I was hesitant due to the price thinking I'm wasting my money, however, I am pleased to report that this thing does exactly what it says it will. The rubber wheel grabs hold of the decal and rolls it off in little pieces leaving little to no residue and with no damage to the clear coat or finish. If you're doing small decals or pin stripes or things with small surface area, it will not take you long at all to remove them with this. If you are doing hood decals or something that covers a large area, it does still take a little bit of time though because you gotta hit every spot of the decal with the wheel (just like an eraser). However, it's much easier than peeling by hand or using a plastic knife. Cons: 1) Price. It's a bit expensive for a small rubber wheel. 2) The mount. The wheel attaches via a plastic threaded insert with no nut or washer backing and it does spin itself off the drill easily when you pause. Even just the weight of the wheel itself will spin itself off when the drill stops. It doesn't hurt anything though except your patience chasing the wheel across the driveway multiple times until you figure out how to stop the drill just right. Would have given 5 stars if not for the price.

So I was very concerned about exactly how I was going to remove the vinyl pinstrips from a vehicle I recently purchased because the paint job on it is absolutely pristine with a finish like a mirror. I researched a ton of different methods and chose to use a heat gun and a plastic credit card like piece of smooth plastic to delicately try and remove the pin-striping. Doing 3 inches took a very long time, so I finally resorted to purchasing this 3M eraser wheel, and good thing I did. It took off the pinstripes very quickly and I was finished in 20 minutes, and there's not a mark on the paint, you can't even tell there ever were pinstripes there to begin with. As many have stated here already, the wheel gets hot even at very low rpm's, so do not hold it on one spot for long, keep it moving, then take a break after a couple of minutes and wipe down the area you just did with a paint friendly cleaning product to remove any little bit of residue, and before you know you'll have completed the whole vehicle. Also make sure to remove all dust & dirt from the area you're about to remove the pinstripes from so as not to grind it into the paint. You also only use very light pressure on this wheel to, it hardly needs any pressure whatsoever, and very low rpms. Highly recommend and worth every penny.

excellent tool, 3m Stripe (WOW)

I was very disappointed when I received this. It seemed very small. I was definitely under the impression that it would wear out fast. I finally tried it out this week. It took the 1 inch pinstripe off of my 96 Ford with ease. Did no apparent damage to the paint underneath. The eraser itself shows very little signs of wear. It did not seem as effective on double sided tape. I will still have to get that with the heat gun I think. But for removing pen stripping this thing is amazing. Definitely glad I bought it.

This wheel (#07499) does not come with the mandrel attachment needed to mount it to the drill. Order # 07498 if you also need the mandrel attachment.

Par exemple, j'ai collé des bandes adhésives 3M sur des lames (bas de caisse) et celles-ci ont durée dans le temps. En essayant la meule, celle-ci enlève que dalle.

I cannot stress how effective and timesaving this 3m stripe off wheel is. Finally a tool that lives up to the description. It has removed the red vinyl reflective tape from round the rear doors of a transit van, then yellow on one side x2 lines and silver on bonnet and upper roof panel in a couple of hours using a cordless drill, started with slowest speed and just increased till it was working efficiently. No glue residue left behind just clean paintwork. Day 2 showed it will also work on Diamond Grade ECE 104 Reflective Tape and similar honeycomb reflective tape. Mine was double layered so the glue residue left behind after 3m wheel use needed softening with tar remover, the thick removed with a plastic scraper, then wiped over with a microfibre cloth and tar remover. Van is now back to stock and just needs a wash and polish. This 3m wheel is worth the cost, and it still has life in it for another job and another day.
