Tangspower 36V 2A battery charger, Output 42V 2A Charger - Input 100-240 VAC Lithium Li-ion Li-poly Charger For 10Series 36V Electric Bike

Does what it says on the tin...a simple and straight forward charger for 36V battery (42v when fully charged). Have used it to charge my custom built 36v li-ion battery with no issues. Charger light indicator goes from red to green when the battery is at its full voltage. I do not know whether the charger will try and maintain the voltage at max by trickle charging or not but for the purpose I use it for, it works well. I had originally bought a more expensive smart charger which turned out not to work with my battery for some reason or the other but this one had no such issues. It has to be noted that the charger will get rather warm during a charge so it is advise to always monitor your batteries when charging them for safety reasons.

I almost gave this one star as it comes as standard with a Euro plug only. I almost sent it back. But instead I ordered a euro to UK plug and gave it a go. It's a very inexpensive product and I wanted a spare charger for my ebike to keep in the car.I have tested a charge from 34v to full charge, which is now 41.7v as my pack has degraded. The charger switched off at 41.7v and indicator went green. At no point did the plug, charger or battery plug get too hot.Even with a good Euro to UK adapter this product seems good value. Haven't had it long enough to judge it's reliability, but, so far, it appears as good as - if not better than - the original it replaces. The main difference - unlike the original - it has no cooling fan yet appears to get no hotter while charging my ebike battery.

Brilliant product. I was concerned as to wether this would replace the original which costs more than four times as much. I wanted it so that I could charge my electric bike up at work we have two bikes which we use for commuting so we wanted a means to charge the batteries at work without having to bring the chargers with us. This charger works just as the original although a little lighter in weight it too has the red to green charging LED light. It works so well that I am going to purchase another as soon as I have finished writing this review.

It doesn't fit 2.5 mm inner diameter plug size, as stated on website it should fit 2. 1 - 2.5 mm inner diameter. It does not. So I had to excavate to make it fit. On the other hand, when excavated (carefully), it charges now with no further problems. My recommendation is to announce it clearly on the website to avoid disappointments of the next purchasers when it does not fit the 2.5 mm inner diameter.

Simple charger - comes with European plug though - easy enough to change.

I needed a new charger for my electric bike, this one fits the bill. It is exactly what I wanted, works like a dream.
