It's the season when my hair sheds and breaks, so I like to do whatever I can to prevent this from being so severe. I ordered this oil after seeing some nice reviews. Unfortunately, it did not grow my hair at all. I did not see any difference in my hair after using it for about 3 weeks (should've been longer, but the mint smell was not inviting). But because of that peppermint smell, it worked fabulous on my cat and his fleas. I put a little on my fingers (which he smelt & ran), but I rubbed him quick-he hissed. In all honesty, he did not scratch and his fleas went down for about 1 week & 1/2.It worked on the cat's fleas, but not on my hair. Not sure if I will order again.

I have tried all of the Liquid Gold Hair products. This Amaka Oil is great! I section my hair in four parts. Two sections at the top and two in the back. I apply the Amaka oil from root to tip adding a drop to the ends then use a soft brush to blend the oil into the strands of my hair from root to tip. The Essential Oils work great as well. In fact, I prefer the smell of the Essential Oils it smells similar to mint...but it doesn't diminishes the effectiveness of the products. My hair grew 1 1/2 inches in less than two months. The Liquid Gold Company is a great company with terrific products! Why wouldn't I continue to use their products?

love the smell and the way my hair feels

I am a Black woman with relaxed hair. I am in the process of re-growing my hair as a result of a bad chemical application. This product has been most effective and makes the hair and scalp feel soft.You will enjoy the outcome and the smell isn't aggressive either.

The smell is too strong for me.

The Amaka Hair Oil is WONDERFUL! After one application on my scalp, my hair shedding decreased and the breakage stopped. I'm excited to see the results after using this oil for one month. Stay tuned for a future review.

My hair is soft and fine, and this oil does not weigh it down. Lastly, my scalp feels amazing, but I am not certain if my hair is growing due to usage of this product, or because of regular maintenance.

I can't tell anything is different with my hair after using this product for 10 days. I'm not sure WHEN I should see any results; but I wasn't prepared to see any kind of change immediately.
