The Forest by Rutherfurd, Edward New Edition (2001)

A thoroughly enjoyable book of stories of the New Forest. The ways and history of the forest is told in a most readable way and for a person like myself who lives on the edge of the forest, brings the facts i have gradually learnt through living here to life in different eras. It is a long book but one that is difficult to put down. Listening to Edward Rutherford lecture prompted my pruchase of this book.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book having just moved to the area, a great way to learn more about the New Forest!
