Funcional

Impressed!
I've put this thing through quite a few tests and I've been impressed with it. I compared it against the Samsung Gear Fit and the Garmin Vivoactive and it performed very well. The heart rate monitor is within a couple beats, or many times indicating the exact same heart rate as that of a chest HRM paired with my Vivoactive. It is accurate even when moving my arms during various exercises. I wear it with the face upwards and still get accurate heart rate results. I tested it on the treadmill, lifting weights, on a recumbent bike, and while hiking with GPS turned on and received accurate data. The GPS has worked very well for me. The Microsoft Health app displays a lot of helpful data for each workout, which I appreciate. It's the most versatile fitness tracker I own. I like that I can do more than just cardio workouts with it since I can use it for resistance training, weight lifting, aerobics, etc. The sleep tracking data is helpful since it shows my resting heart rate throughout the night. That was important to me. It also pairs up very well with Loseit for tracking calories. I've never had an issue yet. It's supposed to be compatible with MyFitnessPal but I can't get it to pair and it's a known issue on MFP's end. The only major complaint I have is the battery life and that's why I took off one star. If I work out, I have to charge it every day. Also, at first I found it really uncomfortable to wear but it didn't bother me after a day or so. The pedometer also misses quite a few steps when I'm walking around the house but it doesn't when I'm on the treadmill or hiking. That's common with these types of devices. Notifications work flawlessly and the keyboard for responding to texts is surprisingly accurate! Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and I would recommend it.

Lots of great features, but step count innacurate and bulky.
I received an Amazon gift card for Christmas and decided to give the MS Band 2 a try. I got a size small. I'm a female with fairly small wrists. This product has a ton of potential, but falls short. Everything was great except for the following:- It's uncomfortable. It hurt my wrist after wearing for a couple of days. It doesn't really allow my wrist to turn. If the band were a but more flexible, it would be great.- Too bulky. The side with the screen is fine. The side with the buckle is way too bulky. It looks weird and couldn't wear it on the inside of my wrist.- Doesn't count steps accurately. This was HUGE to me. It should be able to count steps. It will only count steps if you take at least 20 or so in a row. It doesn't count a few here and there, like walking around the house and stopping here and there. It only likes to count purposeful walks. Also, it missed a lot of flights of stairs too. You can't just go up and down the stairs. You need to remain upstairs for the altimeter (I think that's the name) to feel the different in altitude. These were the deal breakers for me.- The heart rate monitor was a bit off, but not enough to bother me.- The GPS took a long time to lock on (like at least 5 mins)Good points: The touch screen was incredible, it gave accurate notifications, the GPS worked great once it locked on.If they fix the step issue and reduce the bulk, I would definitely consider the Band 3 should one come out.
