Not sure how many litres the filter can take but so far done about 4 trips with it and the water tastes just list it did when the filter was brand new. The water taste is a bit like water from a brita filter. It tastes clean and removes all the nasty stuff that you don't see with a naked eye. Normally I would buy 5 litre jugs of water and carry it to camp site but that's no longer required. This filter is a life saver and doesn't take much space in your backpack. You can break it up into bits to make it fit better in your backpack if you like. ### โญโญโญโญโญ It works! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 30 August 2026* Iโ€™ve only used it once and used water for a stream in Wales. I didnโ€™t die or get sick so Iโ€™m happy ๐Ÿคฃ ### โญโญโญโญโญ I think it is a great thing to have. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 15 July 2026* I bought this so that I didnt have to carry lots of water. But I keep reading that people can still become ill even with a filter so perhaps you also want chemical tables to purify your water. The product itself is brilliant, light and probably just what you want. Just check on the plastic bottle screw top size that you want to attach it to as smaller bottles dont fit and nor do large bottles but getting the correct bottle is as easy as buying what ever drink from the co-op, drinking it and reusing that bottle.I have only tested it in the kitchen, it filters quite fast and the plastic pouch seems quality. It all compresses down and can be easily stored in a ruck sack.I have used one properly in the past to filter canal water which I then boilded. The water was clear and tasted "ok".The product (the filter) itself can be used stand alone without the pouch and becomes a straw which I would be happy to use on a hill stream while camping as long as it isnt regularly used by other people going to the loo nearby - its human waste contaminating the water that can make you ill rather than the odd sheep. I read a report that human waste was the reason people using filters like this became ill in Scotland (not animal waste). So from now on in poplular walking sites I'd use either a tablet or boil in addition to this filter. Out in the sticks with normal river water I think it'd be fine with just the filter as long as you're not near a farm - but read up on the risks first. ## Frequently Bought Together - Waterdrop Water Filter Camping, Personal Water Filter Straw with Gravity Water Bag, 0.01 Micron Water Filtration System Drinking Water Purifier for Survival Equipment, Emergency Hiking - Waterdrop Water Filter Camping, 0.01 Micron Water Filtration System, 3 Pack Water Filter Outdoor Drinking Water Purifier for Emergency Hiking Travel (Light Blue) - Oasis 67mg Water Purification Tablets 200 Tablets - Treats 2,000 Litres Emergency Water Purification Tablets, Water Purification for Camping, Hiking Etc --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - ๐Ÿ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** โ€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - ๐ŸŒ **Shop Globally** โ€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - ๐Ÿ’ฐ **No Hidden Fees** โ€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - ๐Ÿ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** โ€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - ๐Ÿ”’ **Secure Payments** โ€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - โญ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** โ€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/262612262-waterdrop-water-filter-straw-for-camping-with-gravity-water-bag](https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/262612262-waterdrop-water-filter-straw-for-camping-with-gravity-water-bag) --- *Product available on Desertcart Cyprus* *Store origin: CY* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
