Dustless Fluorescent Chalk 72pcs, 6 Colors

These chalks are wonderful! I learned about these over a year ago at an outdoor event that I created an interactive chalk activity for. I love that they are environmentally friendly. The activity I designed incorporated black lights and the neon colors of the chalk worked perfectly for it. They are a good size for anyone of any age to use and don't disintegrate or break as easily as normal sidewalk chalk does. These are definitely a worthwhile purchase if you're looking for great bright colors and an environmentally friendly option.

This chalk writes smoothly, beautifully, and leaves a dense, *truly* fluorescent line. Most of the colors really pop well under UV light, but they all look brilliant and wonderful under ordinary light, too. The darker colors don’t “glow” as well, but they are saturated and visually satisfying. My package arrived cushioned well enough to be completely intact! No complaints about broken pieces. The only negative comments I can make are that the sticks are a little too fat to fit into a standard American chalk holder and they are little shorter than some other brands I have used. However, they seem to leave a magnificent line without being worn down as fast as most others. They are not really “dustless,” either, and *will* leave residue on hands and clothing. However, the dust cleans up very easily and very thoroughly. The chalk is very easy to erase without leaving a trace behind. I am very pleased so far for my application(s). I have not yet tried vintage Hagoromo* color chalk for comparison (though I have some on the way), but this brand seems to be an outstanding product for any venue still using chalkboards over white boards. Get some! * Update 2019-05-18: I recently received one of the very last boxes of original Hagoromo “Luminous” (read: fluorescent) chalk. I can now understand why academics and artists wax rhapsodic about this chalk as there is simply nothing else quite like it. The Hagoromo writes completely buttery smoothly. The fluorescence under UV light is even more striking than the product reviewed above. It also somehow manages to leave an incredibly bold and dense line behind without being rapidly consumed in the process. Hagoromo is (was) in a class by itself, BUT the chalk I reviewed above is a very worthy product and will more than suffice for most people used to the Hagoromo brand. I would not hesitate to buy more.

My daughter had a glow-themed birthday party and I bought this chalk so she and her friends could use it to decorate a wall of our rec room during the party. I covered the wall with black craft paper and we had black lights in the ceiling. The colors popped beautifully and the girls really enjoyed this activity! I will say that this is not “dustless” though. When I was setting up I used the chalk myself to write out a message to the girls on the wall and I alternated through the rainbow to spell it out and when I was done I looked down at the carpet and there was a pretty rainbow of chalk dust all along the wall where I’d written the message. Not a huge deal though. It vacuumed up okay and the whole reason I went with chalk is that there was no way it could be as messy as paint would have been. Overall, this chalk is awesome and I would definitely recommend if anyone else needs it for a similar use!

Colors are good, but some pieces were broken. Need to fix shipping package.

I'm a teacher and this chalk has lasted me since Sept of 2016! I still have about 30 pieces left, and we use the chalk every day. Most importantly, my kids LOVE using this chalk! I never have to fight for them to write on the board! They go straight to the bright colors and write. It's easy to erase and each piece lasts a long time. They're thicker pieces, too, so they rarely break. I try to prevent my students from overusing them (they love to pick them up and draw), so I snap them in half before putting them out for use, and I only need to go back into my closet to get another piece every month or so! So many teachers in my school ask me for pieces because their typical Crayola chalk breaks and gets used up quickly. The only "downside" to this chalk is that it leaves bright, rainbow dust on your fingers and below the board when you use it. Luckily, our school chalkboards have a little shelf for the chalk dust to fall on, so it cleans easily.

These glow really well under UV/Blacklight! Loved that they didn't leave much residue on my hands. I was concerned about how small they were, but they lasted surprisingly long. We used these for Halloween and couldn't be happier. We also put them out for our son and neighbors kids and they had a lot of fun. 10/10 would buy again.

I was expecting "sidewalk" chalk, this chalk is very small... skinny and short. However, it showed up very neon/bright when we used it. I would recommend it based off of the color, but it is not worth the price.
