I strongly believe in education and implementation of healthy lifestyle choices. I have tried other brands of yerba mate in the past but found none to have the quality and freshness of this brand and the reasonable price for buying it in bulk. Yerba Mate is said to help stimulate focus & clarity, boost energy, aid elimination, as well as providing other benefits. Based on my experience I believe this is true and would highly recommend this product to others. This particular brand I find to have a nice smooth taste if prepared as directed and can be easily sweetened with honey for those that prefer their teas sweetened. It can be drank hot or cold and it is delicious when mixed with peppermint or mulberries.

This tea is fairly good.. I don't think it's anything fantastic, but I like it and can use it occasionally as a little pick me up in my herbal tea blends. The taste is fairly mild and can go with many different herbs, making it versatile. The bag is pretty large, so the price for it is reasonable, and I honestly could've gone with half this amount.I like Starwest Botanicals, and this tea is good. I made the yerba mate the base of one of my most recent herbal tea blends and it's delicious and energizing.

I've recently discovered that a nice cuppa mate after my caffeine deadline of the day has passed (otherwise I can't sleep) is great for staying focused on my work. I've gone through a few batches from different suppliers, and by far this is my favorite. The flavor is great...reminds me a bit of toasted green tea, but I'm no connoisseur. My previous batch from another supplier was a bit weak in terms of the jazz it gives my brain. This one hits the spot.I contacted them to see if their supply was consistent, and they responded super quick with a nice email...It's nice to know that there are friendly folk behind the amazon interface. These people will be my ongoing hook up for mate, no doubt.And, of course the price is great, and it's nice to do the organic thing whenever possible!

when first seeing product I thought, this is not green. but the taste was a green taste. this is a little cheaper than buying at health foods and I like the flavor better, much cleaner after brewing, very clear and very clean with no sediment and full flavor. I believe it does have stem but it is all finely cut without being a powder. being a little cheaper and I like the flavor better I bought another pound. I brew iced yerba with this and drink it all day long, very delicious and refreshing.

This stuff is leafy and green, like I like it. I've been a mate drinker for 6-7 years, started on traditional Argentine styles. I had a preferred seller, whom I won't name here, but he/they quit selling this style shortly after I discovered it and developed a preference for it.At this moment, this is the only green, low-powder, leafy-cut product I know of, and so it is my favorite. No gagging on powder, no coating on my teeth. Just a mild flavor and pleasant pick-me-up for my morning routine.Recommended at this time, albeit a bit pricey.
