Good quality. XL fits my US 8 head.
IT's a good boonie hat. Feels good in the rain. Wider brim, think Aussie, not Arky. Size XL filts my head, usually US size 8 hat, occasionally a 7 7/8. Out of the pack it was bent a little weird, but I wore it in the rain and it was just right in about 10 minutes.

Not quite what I expected.
I’ve had this for about a year. I have a large head size 7 3/4 or 8. It fits really good and is very comfortable. I provides good shade to your head and neck. However I don’t think the material could handle a washing machine. My hat is military green and shows a sweat band all the way around it. I wanted a heavy duty material like we had in the USAF but I guess I’ll have to find an expensive hat made in the USA. It is still serving it’s purpose as I use it working with my tractor or cutting the grass on my riding mower.

Hikeman bucket hat
It's not a bad hat. It feels like it is thinner and more cheaply made than the other brands I tested, but it was only $11. The hat band is not adjustable and it is quite loose and floppy around the outside of the hat, but not a deal breaker. The hat looks better than it feels, but it doesn't feel bad, just not as nice and comfy as the other more expensive brands I tried. It gave me good shade up front and covered my neck almost completely. I am 6'3" tall and 235lbs with a 23.5" head. Other hats I bought to try out seemed to fit me better in L size (up to 23.5"), but this Hikeman fit better in XL (23.5"+) so they run slightly smaller than listed, but not inaccurately. If you are right on a size break, round up.The top material didn't breathe as well as the hats with mesh vents, but it wasn't crazy hot.The brim is a little floppy, but it holds shape well. The braided cord under chin feels decent, but the attachment at the brim is a little precarious. It isn't a thick stitching at the attachment point.All-in-all it is a hat that is worth about what you'll pay for it. I decided to return it and keep another brand.

XL Fits comfortably on a 7 3/4 head
On an 7 3/4 head this is tight but not binding or uncomfortable. I'd have preferred something larger but this I could wear all day and not have it be uncomfortable. So it's probably a centimeter less in circumference than that size but the cloth is not rigid and it gives a bit. I'm slightly worried if this will shrink after getting wet.The hat is fairly heavy weight fabric-- much heavier weight than any other inexpensive travel hat I Have. Since it has very small vent holes so I expect this to be warmer than other sun hats but less floppy. The the hat comes folded up flat in an irregular way so shipping bent this in odd creases that don't come out so I'll need to try soaking and drying this to make it look presentable. The only reason to put up with this shoddy folded state shipping is simply the price is nice and finding a large hat at a low price is hard. The woven Cotten band on the outside of the hat is 100% cosmetic. It does not tighten, it is not the limiting hat band, and it isn't tight enough to hold anything, and you'd not want to put any pins or medallions in it since it would not hold them up since it's floppy itself. It does however add a little character to an otherwise plain.

The best boonie hat.
I like everything about this hat. It's comfortable, rain proof, and wind proof, I've worn it all this winter. It's washable, but don't put it in the dryer. Let it hand dry. Hat pin not included. Enjoy!
