Solid, well packed, beautiful and affordable
To start, this is the most expensive lamp I have ever purchased so I had high expectations. We have had two lamps that assemble this way previously, from big box stores. Both had plastic shades, one had the switch unscrew which then was lost, the other had cheap looking metallic finish. This lamp is much, much higher quality. First, the finish is brass color and actual metal. The cord comes out of the pole stack, not the base, which makes it easier to position, as the cord won't get pressed against the base if it is up against a corner wall. The switches on each lamp are also better quality than our previous lamps. There is a foot "switch"/pedal on the main cord that can control the entire fixture, but when it is on, each individual light can be turned on or off. The cord is clear, rather than the new standard black. The base is solid and heavy, the pieces are solid metal, and it also came with three LED bulbs. The individual lamps swivel smoothly and rotate not quite 360 but in a near circle of an arc, providing good light in the direction(s) of choice. Each section of the lamp was sheathed in plastic and it was well-packed in a styrofoam form in the compact box (which is approx. 18" x 24") which nearly matched the size of the Amazon box it was shipped in. The little info booklet inside was simple, straightforward, and refreshingly, in a single language. I saw this lamp originally on a website for a known chain store, but I cut and pasted the item into the browser and happily found that Amazon had it for 35% less. Very pleased with the nice color and finish of this lamp, the quality, and the extra bonus of the included lightbulbs. If you are able to get an extra coupon, there is even further savings. A nice mid-century style pole lamp!

Best light I’ve ever owned
I bought this thinking that it would just be a light for my office. I’m impressed with the remote. I love the night light feature. I can control the color balance and turn each light in and off independently. It comes with bulbs but I don’t see an obvious way to change them. There is a bolt in the back of each light and that’s going to be my first guess when the time comes. But LED light last a long time so I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. It’s easy to assemble but the instructions suck. It didn’t matter. It’s pretty intuitive even for me. I can’t screw a screw or even hammer a nail, literally. But I put this together no problem. It gets 5 stars from me. Could not be happier.

Awesome lamp
I had a black pole lamp with a white shade, sort of industrial or country modernish. Decided to try something a little retro. Even as I opened the box, I was like I don’t know about gold, what was I thinking? It’s awesome. It’s the right gold not brassy not shiny gold either. It throws good light and looks great! Another plus it’s super easy to assemble no threading the electrical cord. Love that each light has on off switch and the base has a foot pedal to turn on all lights at once.

Nice Functional Lamp, Horrible Packaging For Shipping.
The lamp itself is really quite nice. It reminds me of lamps I used to see as a child in the 60’s, except the lamp heads on this newer version are smaller than the mid-century ones I recall. It was very easy to assemble, (gently pull the cord through the pole sections as you assemble the lamp). The metal pole sections went together without any difficulty, and the threading on the sections was fine. Same with the base—the fully assembled pole screwed right into it. The cord and foot switch are a transparent plastic—still can be seen but maybe a little less noticeable than the typical brown or black cord. The base is sturdy and even on low pile carpet it stands ok but it does seem far less tippy on a solid surface such as laminate flooring. With the included bulbs, the lamp is extremely bright and can light up our entire standard size living room with no problem. (I will probably switch the bulbs out for something a little less bright eventually, but if you want bright lighting for reading or crafting, you might love the bulbs that come with it.) I really like that the individual lamp heads are very maneuverable; you can put them in many different configurations to meet your lighting needs. The only problem encountered with this order is that the lamp arrived without an exterior carton, and the top lid was entirely missing. Someone had taken clear shipping tape and put one row across the top where the lid had been in order to keep the packing styrofoam and it’s contents inside the box. I’m not sure if it was originally shipped this way, or if UPS messed up at some point in the lamp’s transit. After taking the box off my doorstep once UPS had left and I saw the damage to the box, I was fearful that something would be broken—at the very least, one or more of the included bulbs. But upon unpacking all the components, I discovered no damage to the lamp and all three bulbs were still intact in their respective boxes. So the protective styrofoam surrounding the lamp’s components and the bulbs really did its job well. I can’t speak to the longevity of the lamp as we’ve only had it a few days, but so far it’s working perfectly.

Nostalgia is lookin' pretty good; always include cat.
Got this a few days ago, delivery was pretty fast. One slight ding in the box from transit, but once I opened the box...es, all was found to be in excellent brand new condition. I had to be methodical in removing the literally folded-up lamp from its packaging, and took my time assembling it, screwing each threaded end to its mate pretty much effortlessly, and gently pulling on the electrical cord as I went along. Whoever designed the fun little black "pipe-edge covers" seriously deserves a commendation. That tiny detail was a really encouraging touch that told me I'd made as good a choice as my budget permitted. The only tricksy bit was screwing the assembled lamp into its base, but all I needed to do was be slow & easy & closely observant with it. The upright with its lampshades was not heavy, or clumsy to handle, and the base and upright threads engaged very snugly & satisfactorily. I was very pleased to find ceramic light bulb sockets within the shades. Another encouraging detail that genuinely made me smile. The shade joints themselves move easily, and it was not troublesome to arrange them the way I wished. That wall the lamp is against is now "painted" with light. The lightswitches seem light duty, but they do the job. It's not like I'm going to handle them roughly, anyway. The footswitch presented an entertaining "where the heck do I put this little fellow?" puzzle for a few minutes, because the arrangement of furnitures in the corner I placed the lamp in is...a bit weird. A HUGE couch, a shabby old wooden bookcase at the corner end of the couch, the equally huge couch ottoman, a Dali Cat Castle AND a second tall grey plush cat castle at the other end of the ottoman...all mooshed together in one corner like a 5 car fender bender with (fortunately) only a few dents, scrapes and maybe a bent tailpipe. All because when I inhabit that couch, it's more like WE inhabit the couch, since my cat greatly prefers to be within petting/brushing/crunchy treat range, and I demand books and a good cold drink at my elbow. The bookcase is just plain beaten-in, so I put a coffee cup hook on it, and with the help of an elastic (no damage type) hair tie used as a weensy little sling and maybe a half inch worth of Nano Tape to make it SIT like a good boy, it's going to hold the footsie switch right where I can smack it with one hand and zero brainpower. Finally: Holy MOSES the included LED bulbs are BRIGHT.

Excellent Lighting!!!
Excelling floor lamp light for a variety of rooms as the lighting is excellent!!! It can be very bright to a paler warm light!!!. I bought one, loved it so much that I quickly ordered a second one. After finding the right spaces to use the first two I bought 2 more. They are very easy to put together. WATCH VIDEO...I highly recommend watching the video that is on the page where the item is sold! You really need to understand which part of the pole you need to attach first because if you do it wrong like I did the first time, it is a pain to undo your mistake. My husband was able to hold a small flashlight and aim it into the part where I attached things incorrectly and I was eventually able to get it apart. Then I rewatched the video and put it together correctly!!! BLCK PLASTC CAPS...Also note there are black plastic caps/pieces covering the end of each section of the pole that will screw into the threads of the next part of the pole. Slide the black pieces/caps off the pole and over the power cord, then rotate the black cap off of the cord through the opening on the cap. ATTACHING POLE TO BASE...I found that if I started winding the completed pole into the base for a couple of turns, then rested the pole on a table (covered with a large terry cloth towel so the table and pole don't get dinged,) I could then lift up the base of the light fixture, rest it on my leg, and then spin the base around until it was tight and there was no gap between the threads on the pole and the base. I then had much better success with marrying the two halves together. CHANGING THE LIGHTING...You will need the small manual to show you how to use the clicker for changing the lighting. Voila' It is complete! Enjoy!!!

Well, worth the investment.
I was quite surprised with how beautiful this lamp is. I bought the gold and the finish is fabulous! The lighting is great. You can direct the lights to where you need them to be and the foot switch is an added bonus.
