I wanted a budget set just to take on holiday later this year. I used the hairdryer today to test it out - cold, slightly warm or burning - no in between. The lead was so short I couldn't style as it wouldn't reach even close to a mirror. It smelt of burning throughout the 5 minute dry. I tried the straighteners next ( with its incredibly short lead and short/thin plates). The light stays on permanently so you have no idea when the right heat is achieved. Normally, you cannot run your hand through your hair behind the straightener as you use it. I put my fingers on the plates - barely warm and this was top setting after leaving for 15 minutes to heat up. I didn't even bother with the curling iron. Returned for refund. Carmen are a long standing budget name but really ? These are not fit for purpose.

Absolutely terrible hair straightener do not work. Tried to contact seller 3 times. Still no response!
