Grips pans & Pots Very well with any angle and with a lip
I looked at a lot of Pot Grips including a bunch of Youtube videos. Plenty of cut outs to reduce weight without compromizing strength. This is a useful tool that is sturdy and works. Many OTHER tools are junk. Better to have a great quality tool that will work and last. Hint: Use leather gloves to protect from radiant wood heat and put a loop of paracord on the Pot Grip to keep from dropping it in the fire.

Sturdy handle. Pouch is a joke
Its a solid piece of metal with rivet connecting it. Pending any horse play with it, I doubt it will ever break. Its very light which is good. Pouch thing does not resemble the picture and is a total joke. Its like this super thin piece of canvas clothing? Idk really but I imagine a regular sock would do better as far as longevity and protection is concerned. Oh well. Not why I purchased but I did drop one star for a bit of false advertising on that which I've come to not stand for. Ill review again down the road and possibly bump to 5 after upcoming performance on Many trips. See pic

Does the job, does not break your back.
A useful tool. Does not work as well in my setup because you can't put the lid on fully while holding it, but that's not the fault of the pot holder. Over all it's a good tool.

Shocked at how well these work
I've been using a pair of Cuisinart pans for camping for a few years. They stashed well in the drawer system in my 4Runner, but I longed to get rid of their handles to make packing easier. I was amazed at how well this pot lifter could handle the pots! I had no problem cutting off the handles and using this as a replacement. Heck, it's probably even more comfortable to use than the original handles! It has been able to handle plenty of weight, even more so than I would typically have in the pots. I wish I had done this earlier

Excellent Addition to my Camping Mess Kit
Owned this MSR Pan Handler Pot Lifter with Cozy for about 2 months. Used it twice for camping - once on a 4-day trip with a large group and once with just my family. Both uses were for car-camping experiences, but this thing is so light and small you could easily stuff it into a backpack for "real" camping. No one on the group campout had heard of such a device, but everyone wanted to use it when it was their turn to cook and pick up the hot pot lid or move the pot off the fire.It looks and feels underwhelming, but it served it's purpose and never had any flexing, bending or other trouble picking up a medium sized pot with about a gallon of water multiple times.Well worth the $10 I paid and free shipping from Amazon.Minus 1 star just for its speculative lack of longevity and not inspiring confidence with an apparent chintzy construction.

Good value
Works exactly like its suppose to. I only use it for small pots snd pans so not sure how well it would do on large pots with lots of weight. But for two person cooking on camp gear it works perfectly.

,
I am satisfied customer. This great little tool is not only for camping use, but useful for household, which I needed it forIt can lift (metal) handle-less pots and bowls even with lip. I was concerned it might not grab the lipped pot, but in fact, I can get a really secure grip, even when heavy, even if you wave it around, although the lip makes the handle tilt down 45o angle. (On a straight edged bowl the handle comes out perpendicular). It seems really sturdy and looks like it will out-live the pot.ADVICE TO AMAZON: INCLUDE THIS ITEM IN ALL CATEGORIES AND KITCHEN AS WELL AS CAMPING. If it had not been for a memory of long ago having such a handle with a camping pot set, it never would have occurred to me to look under CAMPING for this needed item.

Love it! We're avid campers ourselves
Love it!We're avid campers ourselves, and we're extremely active with our local Boy Scout troop, so we do a LOT of camping. This handle will grip onto all our pots and pans with no problem at all.We use some pots and pans that were designed with removable handles, but we also use some "vintage" Farberware pots that have missing handles that we use for camping. The handle is rated as being able to handle ten pounds. Honestly, I would not depend on even an attached handle to be able to handle that much weight without additional support. This handle, plus a pot holder and additional support has handled every task so far. This handle will be added to every patrol box!

Great addition to the Trangia
Great edition to the Trangia, I now have another unit to cook with and adjust the flame/simmering ring. With pouch so no rattling

useful handle
works well, just a bit difficult to fit back into its felt bag.

Tool is very loose
The 2 parts of stamped metal that make this tool are not done to a respectable tolerance and the tool is quite loose. It is so loose that it makes using it a bit difficult (shifts and rattles in your hand). Rivet appears to be fine, but I might have to pop that out and replace with a bolt to add some washers to tighten it all up. Cozy is total garbage. I would not suggest paying more than $10 for this item.

not worth the handle
Liked that it was lightweight but it is overpriced.Picture gave impression cover would be brown n possibly fake leather. Instead was red felt cloth easy to tear.
