can i use it on regular jeans and jackets?

Most certainly. I am a professional seamstress, and I use it in anything with a metal zip. You only need a little dab in the slider, run the zip up and down a few times and it's ready.I This lube is used in marine applications, but it's wonderful with zippers, snaps, that are catching or hanging up. Is this product white liquid? Does it work on metal zippers?

I use it on metal snaps on our boat our carpet has snaps that stick and are hard to get off if I don’t use lub. I also have use it on plastic zippers works well

Yes, you can use it on a zipper with 20D nylon. The tip allows you to precisely apply it to the zipper teeth and not on the fabric.

Will this make them easier to unsnap¿ say, in the wind?

In my experience, yes, it will help with snaps. How much it helps depends on how much of the product has worn off since it was applied and of course how strong the snap is. Not a lot of the product is needed to begin with, just a thin coating on all bearing surfaces. I renew the coating when the snap gets stubborn again. I think it helps to clean off the snap with a cotton swab before the first coat is applied and between coats thereafter.
