Great product, instructions a little unclear
Great kit, but the instructions are a little bit unclear. This kit comes with 12 kits in total, plus almost a whole kit worth of replacement or spare parts. The only thing that is missing from the spare parts bag is the ring. If they included that, it would be a 13 pack, not a 12 pack with spare parts. The cubscouts loved making this but it took a lot of adult assistance to get the string wrapped correctly. Use crazy glue when you put the feathers and beads on the string; it will go a lot smoother than trying to use elmers school glue.

Nice and economical kit
Nice and economical kit. BUT, it isn't easy to make a dream catcher that doesn't look like you failed. I am pretty dexterous yet I had a hard time making it look decent. This is great to make with kids as long as you are not a perfectionist.

Very hard to make, even for an adult
This is a great idea in theory. This was supposed to be a craft idea for a 7 year old birthday party. I wasn't sure if it would be too difficult to make for kids of that age. So I decided to test it out myself before the party. FYI, I am over forty years old with an advanced science degree. Needless to say, I failed miserably. The first step is tying the net in the ring...After three tries, the only thing I was able to do was create a knotted disaster. I should tell you... I am very good at building things and figuring them out. In my family, I am always the one to fix the computer or take apart a broken radio. But I could simply not build this thing. So instead of having this craft for the party, I'm gonna take the cowardly way out and put it in their goody bags....maybe they have parents who are rocket scientists, or master fisherman who know how to make the net.Update: About 2 hours later, and a couple more tries, I was able to make one. It looks a little rough, but not bad. If you make one, the later ones probably get easier. The key is to follow the specific instruction about the "half hitch" knot. If you don't do the half hitch, it does not work out well. I added one more star for a total of three.

but that was fun to creat them
It does requires help from adult for little ones, but that was fun to creat them . Colors were very bright and instructions are included in every pack.

Items missed!! So disappointing
I brought this product as a fun craft to do with kids... turned out not 2 ..not 3.. but 9 kits out of 12 missing the white string!!!.... There are just 4 items that supposed to be there: string, beads, feathers and hoop.. To miss strings from 9 kits is unprofessional indeed !!!!So disappointed !!๐๐

A challenging craft for kids
We made these with our Webelos den (4th grade boys, ages 9-10). Even with adult help, the boys got a little frustrated because it was not an easy craft. To its credit, each kit was well packaged and there were lots of extra feathers and beads.

Complex directions but great kit
Worked perfectly for my sonโs scouting event. Directions were a little complex to master as adults, so we changed the format for ease of use with 8 year olds. But perfect set of kits with enough materials to make a special craft!

Adult assistance required
I bought these to do as an activity at my sons 6-year old birthday party. When I opened the package I realized it was a bit more complicated than that level of ability. So I tried one out with my son. It was really fun to do together with him, so I still included them in the birthday goodie bags as a treat and then let the parents know that it would be an activity that definitely needs assistance. I also let my 3 year old daughter try. It turned out like a series of knots and webs but it still looks cool (not a true dream catcher by any means) and she enjoyed it, so itโs not impossible.
