Life and Mobility Improving
I was looking for a walker to help my brother (waiting on hip replacement) get around the house and a separate transport chair, when I came upon this product. I relied heavily on the reviews and promised myself I would write 1 too. He is 61 yrs old, 6'2" 225 lbs, so finding something tall enough was surprising difficult. To make this an easier read, I will just post the Con's (more important) & Pro's below.Con's: 4 star as a transport chair, it's a little difficult to maneuver & push, we have only used inside. While light weight it does take up a lot of room when not collapsed. I'm finding it hard to find too many con's. My 81 yr old mother has problems pushing him, better for me (57) but I'm hesitant to use it outside as a transport. I believe this, as a transport chair, might be better thought of as "Just in case needed". Smaller people or younger pushers, this would work better as a transport chair.Pro's: Unpacking, I laughed when I saw how big the wheels where but this turned out to be 1 of the best qualities. The wheels are large & rubber that roll, grip & maneuver smoothly on the hardwood & carpeted floors. Height was a game changer, he doesn't have to stoop over to hold handles like standard walkers. Seat is comfortable, I've sat in it while visiting. I stated it did take up space due to the size when not folded BUT this size gives it stability, with locking wheels he was able to raise himself off the floor after a fall.As a family, we are so pleased & would highly recommend. Again, we are using this indoors only at this time, so please check other reviews for the outside use. Thank yo for your time & I hope this helps you.

Great rollator/chair for the right person
My ‘adopted family matriarch’ uses a regular rollator, but gets tired more quickly than before. Although I have pushed her in her regular rollator, I know it is not recommended because of safety concerns and I have to be very careful. I wanted something safer, but especially wanted something that can go over uneven surfaces. The tiniest raised brick or entry to a restaurant stops her rollator completely — even when she is pushing it.PROS:•. This rollator/transport chair duo does exactly what I wanted over uneven surfaces. I tried it on a neighborhood sidewalk with uneven slabs due to tree roots pushing them up. This went over them all easily pushing it as a rollator and me pushing her in it as a transport chair. It also went over a one inch edge to our garage just as easily. It was also smooth for the person riding. It did not bounce hard when going over the bumps.•. It is VERY stable. It’s solid, well-balanced and seems very durable. I had read reviews for another rollator/transport duo and even though it had 10 inch wheels in the front, there were reports of the wheels bending if you try to go over anything more than a standard door threshold, especially when using it as a transport chair. I doubt you would ever have that problem with this one. It seems very well built.•. I like how it folds sideways which would make it so much easier to put somewhere in a restaurant. And you can roll it folded up. Big improvement over the other type of rollator that folds the other way.•. Assembly was very easy and has a booklet that gives step by step instructions. You do not need any tools.•. The bag for personal items is very spacious. I thought her purse might not fit because of the shape of this one, but it was fine with plenty of room for more.•. This has a cup/water bottle holder you and attach and also a cane holder.CONS:•. For us, the biggest drawback is the backrest. It is very low, with no way to adjust it, and therefore provided no support. My adopted family member is about 5’5”. We tried putting cushions, etc., but it was never comfortable and did not support her. (The person in the chair has to sit fairly far back and has a slight lean back to use the backrest.) I am 5’10’’ and it worked better for me, but I would not want to be pushed in it around a mall in that position. Shorter distances, it would have been OK for me, but they were not for her. I read about another brand where a similar problem was a big complaint, so I checked the reviews on this one specifically about that and there did not seem to be a problem. But it is the main reason we need to return it. I really wish the company would make an adjustable backrest (that can be raised or lowered) as one of the other brands does.(I had asked in the Q&A section here if anyone had found a way to make the backrest more comfortable/provide more support and one person gave a link to bottom and back one piece egg-crate type cushion that worked for her Mom.)•. Because of the big tires, which makes it go over the bumps easily, the rollator is harder to steer. For me, it was harder to steer as a rollator as well as a transport chair, but it would not have been a dealbreaker if I were the one using it. However, for my adopted family member who does not have as much arm strength, it was hard and frustrating for her to steer it when walking with it as a rollator. So that’s the second reason we are returning it.So I think maybe a key is determining size and strength. I really wanted this to work and was so happy how it handled uneven surfaces. It would provide such freedom for someone with the strength to push it through grass or uneven walkways. Unfortunately the backrest position and difficulty steering for my family member using it are forcing us to return it. It’s a shame!

Does’t work for wheelchair
I was looking for something 2 in 1 so I can take it with me everywhere. My love one can walk but not far so I thought this product will fit my need. BUT I have learned my big lesson with hassle of returning. So before you buy please read, this product DOES NOT work well for wheelchair, the wheels are too small so it’s hard to push forward and it means caregiver takes all the weight when pushing. With the smaller wheel (than regular wheelchair) when it hit the bumps on the ground or uneven pavement can cause the chair fall forward. My love one medium type his weight 157 lbs, I barely push him unlike regular wheelchair. And I almost had accident when I pushed him towards to uneven pavement he almost fall out from the chair. However it works fine for a walker but the size of product is too big to take it anyway as walker. And too expensive for a walker (forget about using as a wheelchair, it’s impossible and unsafe)With the return you have spend days to back and forth with the seller to get your money back negotiations % of your money back with product that doesn’t work as advertisements. This product is not cheap for me throw away money.

well made but not for short people
We returned the chair because it did not fit well.I only gave it 3 stars because of the fact that a person who is short in stature will not be able to find a comfortable sitting position. The footrests are adjustable but they still were to far away and at the wrong angle for my wife to reach them and still be able to sit upright. The manufacturer should consider changing the footrest position to be closer to the sitting area. The chair is very well made and the 10 inch diameter wheels are great, making it easy to move over uneven surfaces. We have tried a variety of rollator/transport chairs and have not found one that incorporates larger diameter wheels and a comfortable sitting position. Can't understand why this is such a problem?
