Vivid Unique Color
I achieved a super awesome Ombre look by putting my hair with Punky Colour in this way:1)Started with *professionally* lightened hair (unless you really know what you're doing, or are only doing your tips, I wouldn't suggest bleaching your hair yourself)2)Put hair in ponytail3) Section into three vertical sections, leaving top portion 'blank' (do not dye)4) mix violet (or other color) with Punky Color 'Toner) to get a lighter shade of violet. Take the first/highest section of the ponytail (after leaving a couple inches of natural hair color) and apply (i used a toothbrush), making sure to get the 'inside' of the ponytail. Make sure it's saturated; don't worry, you've lightened the intensity of the color here and it just serves as a transition from your natural hair color (or lightened hair) to the color so that it doesn't just look like a trashy solid line).5) apply this less intense color for inch or so of this (between one to two inches or so depending on your hair length)6) repeat this process with the violet (or other intermediate) color on the next couple inches of hair - do this all the way down to the end of your hair, remembering to 'get the inside' hair in the ponytail. You can blend just a little bit in between sections using the toothbrush lightly with the darker color - don't do it too hard or too far up though or you will dye over the lighter color.7) I recommend using a darker shade (in my case, purple) on the last inch or so (again, depending on your hair length)for a really cool gradation of color.8) Decide how long you want it to sit based on how intense you want the color to be/how long you want it to stay. I kept mine on for 45 minutes or so because I really wanted the color to be intense.Enjoy! Be creative and patient - awesomeness requires patience, creativity, and most of all - don't follow the directions fro just any YouTube video; some will leave you with a straight, hard line that in my opinon does not look good or well thought-out.A friend of mine was surprised at how mine came out, she remarked that it looked like a professional job. It's been eons (thirteen years, since high school) since I've dyed my hair anything but a natural color - and I'm so glad I chose Punky Color. The violet is unlike any other colored hair dye I've seen on the market, and stays longer and is less messy than Manic Panic. That said, it does fade out after a couple weeks, but be aware that it may not fade out entirely (I prefer that). Also - some other reviews complain that Punky Color left some dye in their sink, etc, anywhere it dripped. "Duh" - it is semi-permanent, and therefore will stain anything it touches. Be smart! Lay a towel around your sink (except the drain) OR do an initial rinse into a bucket. While the jars of dye are open, put them into a container that will not tip over - splattered dye is no fun. Put a towel around your shoulders that can be permanently stained. Put some vaseline on your ears and hairline, although I haven't had a big problem with my skin being stained.Just be smart - this dye is semi-permanent, and as a result, will in fact be difficult to scrub out of light colored surfaces unless you are willing to put in some serious elbow grease/cleaning product

Absolutely Amazing!
I absolutely love this product and it did such an amazing job. It was originally delayed - not of its own fault, just with my post office - so I went out and bought some L'Oreal colorista in the store because I just couldn't wait. I had bleached my hair and waited a couple of days before putting the colorista in, and to put it simply, the L'Oreal Colorista RUINED my hair. Half of it stayed in and the other half didn't, it turned my bleach blonde hair BROWN. I was so distraught and tried to get it out as fast as I could or fade it. It took about five days, two showers a day with heavy shampooing to get it to fade. Finally, it faded enough for me to feel like I could put in the Punky Colours dye in Violet and oh my god, first off, the smell is so much better, second, it held to my hair so much better. I let it sit for much longer than the package says, (It says 15-30 minutes, I left it in for around 3 hours) but as soon as I stepped out of the shower and dried my hair I was absolutely elated with the results. It looked AMAZING, especially after the horror show that was Colorista. I do recommend if you're applying it by yourself to slather any exposed skin that may touch your hair in vaseline while before you color it otherwise you may end up looking like Thanos while you wait. And wash with gloves unless you don't mind having lavender fingertips for the day.Wash your tub out really quickly after your shower as well unless you want to be scrubbing dye off of it, and be careful of your walls. This stuff is really high quality, so it does stain if you leave it for too long. Overall, I absolutely love this dye and will definitely be buying it again!

so it's perfect for anyone looking for a cooler/more blue-purple
This stuff it so potent, it even tints my natural dark blonde roots (it's not as vibrant as it is over my lightened/bleached hair, but it blends really well!). Lasts about four weeks before noticeably fading, and I shampoo every other day as I have an oily scalp- which is incredible longevity for semi-permanent dyes. It's a true violet, so it's perfect for anyone looking for a cooler/more blue-purple.
