Catastrophic failure after sharpening only 8 cutters on the very 1st chain... Very Poorly Made - w/ Photos - Good Seller Though
I really wanted to like this sharpener... but even as I assembled it I was not impressed with the build quality. For the last 2 years, I've had access to an Oregon chainsaw sharpener and had used it to sharpen all my chains. I'm no logger nor do I sell firewood. But we do have some wooded property which I've been cleaning up some, and we use firewood for heat. So we do cut a fairly good amount of wood every year, and I have several chainsaws that I maintain including my go-to saw which is an 048 Stihl with 20" bar, and I sharpen all of my chains myself.Since I no longer had access to the Oregon sharpener I had been using, I had considered buying one... but had seen several "clones" that were about 1/3 the price and had decent reviews... so I thought I would try this one and see.I received it yesterday, got it set up today after a few small issues (which I somewhat expect with products like these) that I was able to deal with myself, again trying to like it and make it work. One thing I did notice is that the chain clamping lever didn't lock correctly... at least in comparison to what I was used to using. But I put on one of my current chains to see how it would do... got 8 cutters sharpened... and on the 9th cutter the Entire Chain Clamping Lever Broke out of the base as you can see in my attached photos.... really poor and thin castings. A really disappointing tool.I know this is a "cheap" sharpener compared to an oregon or others. However, it is also far from the cheapest in price, and for $115 I would expect at least a usable tool with a decent life span. Instead it didn't even sharpen half a chain...Going to Return it to say the least.-------------------------***UPDATE: The seller, Banyan Imports, contacted me the next day after seeing my review and the photos that I attached. They offered me a replacement or full refund. So I asked them for a full refund, which they promptly sent, and I didn't even have to bother with shipping the sharpener back. They also stated that they were going to forward my review to the QC department of the manufacture, so hopefully they can get this issue fixed on current production. If not for this failure, I think I could have made this sharpener work for what I need. In any case, all in all, I was satisfied with the seller quick communication and offer for a solution.

A little room for improvement.
The Grinder arrived undamaged and well packaged. I will probably make the motor bi directional to improve the grinding of the left edges. The thing I was not happy with was the clamp to hold the chain. Is does not hold and opens up by itself. The geometry of the cam is wrong and need some re working with a file. Nothing major and easy to sort out. Other then that it is a great little grinder for the money.

Disappointing Purchase!
This was a very disappointing purchase! The grinding wheel vibrated loudly and quickly shook the unit out of adjustment. Made several attempts to troubleshoot, but everything pointed back to a poor quality tool. I mistakenly took the $87.99 Amazon price to be a good deal. One attempted use resulted in the waste of a couple hours and one ruined chain.Interestingly enough, the user instructions do not provide any troubleshooting instructions or contact information for a company.Return is in process; will shop more carefully for another sharpener...

Not worth the bother or money
I just purchased a Co-Z chainsaw sharpener and experienced difficulties in securely clamping each cutter onto the vise where the sharpening wheel comes down to contact the cutter. There is way too much play. Additionally, the vise tightening knob does not adequately tighten down the vise after setting the cutting angles. I found it difficult to move the vise when making adjustments to the top plate cutting angle (25 degrees for my saw chain) and the the 10 degree down angle. I am not sure but the base may be defective. I sent this message to the supplier who asked for a video and upon receiving the request I returned the item. There is no one to talk to at the supplier as they don't have phone available. Greater QC needed on the base vise, etc.

hard to change sharpening discs
The plastic guard did not have the holes drilled in the correct places to work (lack of quality production control). I had to remove it and drill new hoes that align properly. Then I had to enlarge the existing screws holes to align the cover to reassemble the cover. It is necessary to remove the entire power head to change sharpening discs, which means starting from scratch setting up the alignments for sharpening all over again. Not a problem if you have only one chain saw or use only one kind of chain, otherwise it is inconvenient.

Works as it should
I was a little nervous about buying one of these after reading many reviews. Others had stated they had vibrations, mine runs smooth as glass. I'm glad I got this even though it is a cheaper version of the Oregon. It does all I had hoped for, packaging was very good. I've been sharpening chain by hand for over 40 years and have gotten good at it. Hard to compete with these machines though. I wish I would have gotten one of these many years ago.

nice sharpener.
After posting a bout the machine i recieved being out of balance the company contacted me and sent out a replacement machine right away. I have a tree service and maintain quite a few chains. this machine gives me a sharper chain than i get if i drop them off at the dealer. totally worth it.

Don’t waste your money
Product was as advertised but it was not accurate and parts rattled off, constantly having to readjust the settings. While locking in the angle it would change when clamping the chain in the guide. The locking handle would pop off when locking in the chain. I did contact the seller. If you want a cheap grinder to get just go to harbor freight and get one for less than half the price. It does a more consistent job.

New chain anyone?
Yes it will make your old chain cut like new. No curving through the log either. But it does take a little time to set up so I like to sharpen a few at a time. Kicks ass on my saw mill blade too. You do need to know a bit about the anatomy and physics of how chains cut to get it perfect though.

Great machine for the value
This worked just fine for me. For the price it’s great. Did 10 chains so far without any issues. If people complain then they should spend the extra $100 plus and get a Oregon. I like it👍

Money saver sharpener
We have a wood stove so I spend many hours chainsawing logs for the stove. This has saved me a fortune, it sharpens accurately, sturdily built, easy to use & gives me like new chainsaws.

I like this product VERY much
I like this product VERY much! it is solid, precision, easy to work with. I employed it not for sharpening chain. Instead I used to to build new equipment for new application in very perspective market. in near future I plan to place order for at least 4 more units assuming that there will be some discount on price
