This lamp is exactly what I was looking for. I use it as a bedside lamp. I did not want a super bright light, just something to light the way for when I have to get up at night for kids or bathroom. This will light up a room, but with a calming orange glow rather than a blinding light. My husband hates lamps on at night, and he actually approved of this lamp! So far, it has functioned well. My kids also think it is the coolest thing ever...I mean really, it's like a big light rock, what's not to love? The picture of it lit was taken when it was light out, so you don't get the full effect; but you can see that it still gives off a beautiful glow even in daylight.

Well packaged and timely shipping by seller. Lamp itself is exactly as described. Upon receipt (approximately two weeks ago) placed lamp in a bathroom turned it on and it had been on since. No problem with the lamp or the bulb. I read other reviews which indicate problems with the bulb causing concerns. I am not concerned about the bulb burning our prematurely since I have already purchased (through Amazon) a replacement LED bulb and am just waiting for the existing bulb to burn out. Otherwise, I have found the Salt "globe" and the wiring/socket to be of good quality and perfect for our intended purpose, a night light in a bathroom. The seller was fine, as I mentioned the lamp was well packaged and I received it in a timely manner. As far as I am concerned the seller and lamp were exactly as I expected.

I great gift idea, good size for a bedroom night stand, or bookshelf. The dimmer switch is perfect, can use as a night light and gives off a nice subtle pinkish red glow.

Okay... I waited a few weeks to write a review to see if this lamp made a difference in my home. I can clearly feel an improvement in the environment. I am a person with high anxiety and stress... I feel a calmness now. I like the dimmer switch cause at night I turn it down and it emits a soft glow while during the day I turn it up and it has a nice shine. I will be purchasing another one for my bedroom. I recommend you to try this lamp and for the price it couldn't hurt. I give this two thumbs up and five stars...

This lamp arrived quickly, in good condition, and I love it! The dimmer is nice to have, as I've been keeping it on all day and turning it a bit lower at night. It's a perfect size for mobility, which I was looking for, and I love the shape and color. The air in the room is noticeably cleaner. The last few nights with the lamp bedside, I've been sleeping and dreaming very deeply. Thanks!

First the good: The lamp is the size and weight as described. The wooden base is attractive, with small niches cut and polished to allow the cord to sit under the lamp without throwing off the balance. The wooden base is polished well, so no change of slivers. Had the lamp not been damaged, it might have looked nice.Now the bad: The lamp arrived in a package so damaged that the inner box was gashed. Small chunks of salt and pieces of glass poured out of the package when I opened it. The missing chunks of salt gave the lamp the appearance of having been bashed and abused. The lamp was very unattractive as a result. Upon removing the lighting mechanism, I discovered the bulb was shattered. The mechanism was so damaged a replacement light bulb wouldn't work. I tried a few from a brand new package just in case one was a dud. I am sending this back tomorrow and will not be purchasing another from this seller. I am giving this a 2 instead of a 1 as I believe one shipped in proper packaging, arriving undamaged, would look nice and probably work.

I received it broken. I was able to fix the cord so it would work, I didn't want to go through the hassle of sending it back. Just the dimmer switch was cracked and the round plastic piece around the bulb. But it is very pretty and I would love to order another if I know it wont be busted up when I get it!

The lamp arrived without the knob which turns increases/decreases the intensity of the light.The light still functioned, so no big deal. I turned the light on and the bulb blew after about 12 minutes. I attempted to replace the bulb, but the new bulbs aren't working, so the lamp is now non functional.Do yourself a favor and don't buy this lamp.
