The Ultimate Keepsake
If you're not ready for some serious bonding and truth, don't bother. I'm raising a man that I need to be emotionally intelligent. I need him to be able to communicate and feel it all and be wise and decent. Too often as he gets older its harder to get a proper beat on how well I'm doing. THIS!!!! is everything. There are things my son is willing to write down that he has no interest in speaking to me about. I can't say that I'm extremely bothered by that because he took the time to write it down. We are heavy readers in my home. I do no support the video game/YouTube movement. He has plenty of time for that, but right now my time with him is extremely important. I want to know him, make memories with him, have conversations he can tap into when things get rough... I'm a mom that is THERE. There will never be a screen in place of me. I urge you all to do the same if you want to connect, learn grow closer to your sons.

Adoption Friendly
I was worried this book would have a lot of "tell me about when I was born" type questions which wouldn't be appropriate for my child adopted at 7. However that was not the case. A few references to "when you where little" which can reference last year as far as my child is concerned. There is one reference to "how did you get your name" which may be problematical in some adopted families but not mine. Asks mom to tell the story about the first time you held me which should be fine even in older children adoptions. Thank you for considering other types of families.

Such A Nice Activity for my 10 Year old Son and Myself
My 10 year old son actually gets really excited when we write in this. He only wants to do a couple pages at a time...but I think he enjoys the one on one time with me away from his siblings. It has fun, and also meaningful questions. Such a nice book!

Perfect for bonding, creativity, & fun.
I’m so glad my sister told be about this journal. It is full of fun and interactive activities. My oldest son is two years old but I think we’re going to have fun. It’s a great bonding tool. I can’t wait to see how much he enjoy using his creativity. I love it.

Great way to have a “just for us” thing to do with your child.
Bought this to complete with my 7 yr old. We both enjoy passing it back and forth to each other every night and morning. The questions are easy enough for him to answer without having to give too much in depth thought. My son doesn’t like answering questions that require him to express his inner most feelings so this book does a good job of doing just enough. The prompts are great and even have some that ask about school and online experiences. I plan to get the Daddy and Me book as a Fathers Day present for him and and his Dad next summer.
