Easy install and seem plenty strong
The supports I received appear to be very strong and they were easy to install. The real test will be how do they hold up. These replaced the OEM Lexus supports from 2014. I would hope these give me at least 5 years of good service.

Easy installation and durable
I installed these 6 years ago on my 2011 RX 350 and Iām now coming back for my second set. They are just starting to give up. Pretty good value considering the cost and comparison to OEM. Installation is quick and easy. Not much more you can ask for.

Worked fine
After buying a pair where another seller sent me a no-brand, fly-by-night pair that did not match the pictures, I purchased these. These look legit, with the brand printed on the pair and in a nice plastic package (that may not mean much to some but to me it's a good start). I cannot speak for the longevity yet but if I have any bad surprises I will attempt to amend my review or will leave a new one. I got it for a 2011 RX350 and they fit fine.

Good product. Best fit and my procedures to remove and install lift support.
This was a good fit for my Lexus RX 350 2011. The installation was fairly easy although the removal for the old lift support was a troublesome a bit. I would need to remove the harness around in order to easily access and remove the bottom of the lift support from the mounting bolt using a flat head screw driver.A note here is this came in pair and there is no left or right unit if you wonder. The bottom of the lift support could be easily rotated to any direction. Below is my procedure to install the lift support for your reference:Note: My old lift support was a factory one FYI.1. Use a long bar ( metal or wood) strong enough to keep the hood stay open.2. Remove the plastic harness to easily access the bottom of the current lift support with a flat head screw driver(the plastic harness needs to be pulled outward and you do not need to remove the rubber trim. I actually did remove the rubber trim just so I could apply rubber conditioner to it as well)3. Use a flat heard screw driver to prey and remove the bottom from the mounting bolt. I positioned the flat head screw driver horizontally so that the edge of the screw driver could slide into a small slot in the bracket. With a little bit of force to prey the bracket outward, I shake the lift support left and right to remove it.Be careful as the hood could fall as a lot of pressure is now applied on whatever you were using to hold it. So, you could position that lift support to a metal body of the car to keep the hood stay open.4. Do the same thing for the other side.5. Push the two new lift supports (there is no left or right so it does not matter which one on which side) to the bottom mounting bolt until they clicks. It should snap easily if not something is wrong here with your mounting bolt or your new lift supports.6. Now use the flat head screw driver to do the same thing to remove the old lift support from the top mounting bolt. They came off fairly easy.7. After you completely remove a lift support from one side, you can snap the new lift support (with the bottom already attached to the mounting bolt) to the top mounting bolt. Now your hood can stay open and you can safely repeat the same procedure for the other side with no effort.

Inexpensive but effective solution!
I have a 2011 Lexus RX350. Like many other customers looking for a do-it-yourself replacement for the worn hood struts, I turned to three local dealerships including the one where I purchased my vehicle. The prices at the local dealerships were $65-85$ per strut so expect to spend at least $130, plus tax, for an OEM pair. The OEM left and right struts have stickers that differentiate them and they have different Lexus part numbers. I noticed this only after removing the OEM worn struts. My hood would not stay up and I didn't need it falling on my head or fingers every time I changed the oil. Mine had some rust and the paint finish on the pressurized cylinders was cracking off. Removal was easy with the assistance of a thin flat head screwdriver. I only needed to pry the metal tabs slightly without removing them altogether. The metal tabs on each end of the struts grab the round nubs on the hood and fender. Removal took 3 minutes. Installing the replacements took less than 1 minute. They just snap in and you are done! They work perfectly and only time will tell if they are worth the savings. The OEM struts did not last 7 years so if these last even 4 years, they are a good bargain. I asked my son to hold the hood up while I replaced them. Swapping them out was so easy, he didn't even have time to complain that he was tired of holding up the hood. These replacements do not designate left or right. To be honest, the OEM struts look identical on each side so I don't know why they designate L or R. Do yourself a favor and save 75% over Lexus OEM prices. If you can't stand the idea of aftermarket parts - as an FYI, the OEM struts are made by a third party company and not Toyota. They can be purchased online from several auto parts retailers. I will update my review after I have had a chance to see how they wear.

Easy to install, working in minutes, exact replacement
Replaced in 2012 Lexus Rx350. Old ones pulled right off. Did not need tools. New ones just snapped on and done. Hardest part was getting my son to hold the hood open for 30seconds to change one out š

Worked the same way as original.
My original one broke. Cost of the new one is about 3-5 times more than this replacement .
