"We talk TV, you talk-some-T-V?" - Wreck-Gar, 1986
The Combiner Wars series is about to depart, with only a couple of releases left around the corner after this wrap-up (as far as anyone knows) of the Legends class figures for the line. Wreck-Gar is a way to go out that doesn't dare you to be stupid, in fact, it dares you to have fun. This figure is not only a clever way to repaint a toy most collectors looked upon with disdain (Legends Groove, who was actually pretty cool but wasn't a Deluxe therefore ruined forever), but it's also a really neat way to expand your Junkion army. Got the old deluxe class figure of Wreck-Gar from 2010? Several of his repaints and remolds too? Even the old Generation One figure from 1986? Well guess what, now they have a tiny companion to hang out and watch television with. The transformation is simple, as can be expected from the size class, and both collectors and kids will enjoy this toy. Wreck-Gar's goatee is a molded in detail, as this has a completely different headsculpt from the Groove release. It's also a well done sculpt and will have you wanting to posse up with Eric Idle, Weird Al, and all your other biker friends on whatever day this toy arrives at your home. I'll probably buy a second one of these at some point, because if there's one thing every Junkion should be able to do, it's ride themselves. The several points of ball-jointed articulation will help you out with this. There are even some paint applications reminiscent of the Generation One style of stickers/detailing which are a nice added touch. The figure also includes instructions, which are plenty sufficient in describing the transformation, as well as a collector trading card with more outstanding artwork by (presumably) Ken Christiansen. If there are any drawbacks to this figure, it's that there's no weapon to speak of and that there's no Combiner team that it's "officially" a part of. Outside of that, this is a fun repaint with cool detailing that any collector will enjoy, even if just as a desk toy.Just a final note: I would not buy this figure for extremely young children that still like to put things in their mouths, as the ball jointed articulation points are designed to separate if too much force is applied, and this separation can cause the figure to suddenly be several tiny pieces instead of one fully assembled product. I'm sure the packaging's age range accounts for this, but an orange motorcycle is a pretty neat thing for all ages so I thought I'd point that out. If you're shopping for your small child and looking for Transformers, throw "Rescue Bots" up there in your search bar!

Fun... yet functionless for now.
If you're buying this to be a Combiner Wars completionist, you won't be disappointed. It's an excellent repaint of the Legends Groove mold that adds enough detail to stand out against his mold-mate. This includes a new head sculpt, which has similar painted facial hair to classic renditions Wreck-Gar.However, despite originally being announced as combining with Sky Reign (the second wave of 2016 Combiner Wars figures), neither his package or instructions make any mention of a third mode that would be compatible with the rest of the team. This is despite his card having the same color band as his wave-mates. The "Combines to Form" sticker shown in pictures for this listing is not included on the product that will be shipped to your door.Hasbro has made no further reference to a combined mode since announcing the figure. So if you're thinking you need this to "finish" Sky Reign, you needn't worry for now. If you're hoping we may someday get word, he's worth seeking out for when that time finally comes.

Its more like 3. 5in
Its more like 3.5in. Its super small and falls apart easily. Not for kids its more of a collectors item. This suppose to be a birthday present but even my oldest(10) couldn't figure out how to transform it. It didn't even look that great like pictured. To me it wasn't worth the price at all.

Great Detail
the pictures are accurate, even though he's 3.5 inches tall you can totally make out that he's got the facial "hair" and overall very articulated.
