I procrastinated for ions about purchasing this cunning little planter. I felt that Mr. Turtle was too small for the big price. However, this bespectacled little guy is adorable, and looks very dignified by my front door. He has been guardian for about 3 months now through snow, strong winds and whirling, blowing dust, and he still looks like new. He and a bit of boxwood make good companions. Weeel, he is a bit dusty. I now definitely think he is worth the money and he is durable.He is well constructed, but he is small. If one plants anything in his shell, it must be small because the planter space is pretty tiny. He has a removable plug in his under shell that makes for easy drainage if one wishes to use him for a live plant….either inside or out. However, he could also be stunning on a tabletop or in a sunny window. My desk is much too cluttered; however, he would be a cute desktop critter. Wherever he resides, he is bound to be a conversation piece. He would also be a great gift for most anyone that love whimsical fun objects.

This turtle is so cute. I've had too many compliments to count already. The only thing is, the container inside the turtle isn't all that big. You wouldn't want to put a really big plant in it. It's about the size of a cup of coffee.

Gave this to my wife (who loves turtles and you can find them scattered everywhere in our house) as a gift. She was thrilled. It’s whimsical and well-made. Others have commented they were disappointed with the quality of the eyeglasses, but ours arrived intact and seem quite sturdy. Obviously you won’t want to lift it by the glasses but with a little care seems to me it should hold up fine. Perhaps a tad pricey but her smile was well worth it.

Planter is for smaller plants has deep cavity and drainage hole. Love it for my string of turtles. Perfect for gifting, so cute. Very durable

I ordered the turtle planter as a gift. It comes in a black box that doesn't give away what's inside. It's absolutely adorable. The planter portion is small- it's a little wider than a Coke can and not as tall. My last picture shows a regular can inside the planter for a visual reference. The glasses aren't put on very well. They're a bit flimsy and bendable, so be careful with them. I pressed on the temple (the side piece) while removing the planter from the styrofoam and it separated from the turtle. It's easily glued back on, but still. Something to keep in mind. The bottom does have a plug that can be removed for drainage. If someone isn't great at growing plants, this would also make a good pen, candy, knitting needle, straws, etc holder. I like it so much, I'm going to buy a couple different critters for my yard. :)

I bought this for a friend who loves turtles. It is absolutely adorable and she loved it. Can be multi-purpose but she did decide to plant a succulent in it. There is a plug in the bottom to remove for drainage. The glasses are flexible plastic. Thinking about buying myself one. Order came on time and I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Very cute planter but can also be used on a desk to hold pens, scissors, etc.

I gave this to my mother for her garden when springtime arrives as she loves turtles. It is very cute and sturdy.
