Will conditioner be necessary? Can't wait to try the shampoo!

My husband has been using this shampoo for several years now. He likes it a lot. However, he does not use the conditioner. I used to get that together with the shampoo, but he does not like conditioners :-) apparently makes his hair look oily. But I think without the conditioner his hair looks a bit frizzy. Shampoo and conditioner combination will be better in my option but this shampoo is very good!
