CAP Cable Machine Attachments – LAT Bars, Triceps Bars, Handles & Ropes – Multiple Styles & Sizes

Since my gym sadly succumbed to the pandemic, I decided to create a home gym in my garage. I was searching for a lat bar that wasn't outrageously overpriced from scalpers. I finally saw CAP had some in stock. CAP can really be hit or miss with quality, but this one is, without question, VERY well made. Bar came in excellent condition without so much as a scratch on it. Everyone that's saying it's too heavy and thick, doesn't know what a real lat bar feels like. They should be heavy duty and built to last. 48" in length as described too, so you can get a nice, wide hand position. The rotating hanger is smooth and makes no noise at all for me anyway. The thickness is not over sized at all either you'll have no trouble grasping this bar properly. The end caps are screwed on and have not come loose for me. Also, anyone complaining about the knurling should just wear gloves, or toughen up and develop some calluses on your hands. Good, deep knurling helps you get a good grip on the bar. By far one of the best lat bars I've ever used.

I ordered one of those pulley systems a few weeks back to level up my home workouts a little, and after a week or so I figured that a lat bar will be a good idea and I found this one at a price I could live with. I figured I'd get what I paid for so I actually looked at reviews after I ordered, but I remember someone mentioning how heavy it was. I concur that it is heavy, but to me, I can deal with it. I did notice some peeling after the first use, again I figured it wouldn't be the best quality qt the price I was paying, but thats what I wanted to pay. Overall it seems sturdy. The piece that connects to the pulley system rotates and seems sturdy. The bar itself is a nice size where you can get a nice wide grip and a nice thickness. The grip is a little aggressive soil that turns you off avoid. Otherwise I'd recommend.

Monster bar. Love the 48 inch width it gives my lats a super stretch that I feel and notice the next day. This thing is big and heavy.

This bar is solid it’s not light and flimsy. It also has decent knurling.

Ordered used before reading scathing one star review and immediately tried to cancel order. Amazon sent it anyway. As one review said it came with a strong chemical odor. Couldn’t smell odor on my hands after and traced it to the packaging. There was the slightest taint of rust near the swivel and it was a bit binding until I hit it with 3 in 1 oil and it all cleared up immediately. Had resolved to return it but the rubber ends have metal on metal threading one review complained one knob fell off at unboxing. Just screw it on and it holds tightly. No complaint’s about knurling, finish or build quality. Guess I’ll keep it in spite of the seller capitulating in advance.

#1 bar for a lat machine. Love the knurling, length, and sturdiness. I have a hollow bar (included with the machine) but wanted a more solid bar. I like the thinner type of handle (many don't) as it help me to grip the bar better. Been using it twice a week for a while now and love it. The best bar for wide grip and close grip pulldowns, undergrip pulldowns. straight-arm pulldowns, triceps pushdowns, and curls. Fast shipping too!
