I have pigeon issues on my balcony and thought this would be a great deterrent. The first week I had it up, I moved its position every 2-3 days and it worked really well, didn't have a single pigeon. Then after a week, they were back. So then I moved it to a new position EVERY NIGHT. That seemed to work for another week. Now, after 2 weeks, pigeons don't seem to care and they come every day. I have since ordered bird spikes for the ledge, but I really believe the only way to keep birds off your balcony is to install netting. My last building had netting and we never ever had birds. The only reason I haven't installed netting is because of building regulations again drilling into the concrete balcony. If there is a way to install netting without drilling anchors please let me know!

I gave it two stars because it came quickly and it is decently realistic, but it did not help my pigeon problem.Right from day 1 they walked right up to it to say hi. Tried moving it around every day for a few days and they still came on my balcony. Major bummer.

Got 2 of these to help keep away the marauding birds that attempt to vanquish our gardens. I’m glad they weren’t expensive because they really only worked for a few days until the birds got wise.I tried repositioning them, all over, but no fooling the birds now. They even sit atop the hawk.Draping nets has been our best result.

I bought this to keep birds, in particular starlings from leaving their dropping on the edge of my above ground pool. It worked right from the start !It is hollow so you need to fill it with stones or something so the wind doesn’t blow it over. I have moved it to a different place every couple of days as Suggsted. I have had NO mess since I started using it …does the job!
