Awesome scissors. Fantastic for cutting anything

I've been using Joyce Chen scissors for many years and they remain my favourites. They never seem to dull, unless of course you try to cut some heavy metal like my husband did lol. These will cut almost anything though and I can't recommend them enough!

Brilliant little scissors. Originally found a pair in tk maxx and just assumed they would be cheap little scissors. Comfortable and very sharp. I have lot of nice tools and recognise quality. These were more than twice what I paid Originally but that should tell you everything..Decent Japanese steel scissors

I actually use these scissors for metalsmithing, because they cut wires and bezel sheet better than the super expensive shears made for metalsmithing. These are for light duty, 20 ga. nonferrous wire and 24 ga. nonferrous sheet are about the max. The throat isn't very deep, but because they are so sharp, it's not much of a problem. For cutting your own bezel wire, you can't beat it--super straight, no curl over on the edge, shears very well. This is my second pair, because my husband used my first pair for cutting out the fins and flashing of a radiator, and pretty much ruined them. However, he liked them because he could get them into the tiny spaces. However, if this is your intention--BUY YOUR OWN PAIR! My second pair is off limits. Eventually I might find someone who can actually sharpen shears properly and have my first pair resharpened. Although they work well enough for kitchen use, it would leave my 2nd pair open to my husband snitching them again, since I keep my bench neat and tools in their place. They're well worth the $20 for a really superior pair of scissors that have sharp points. They'd be great for disjointing chicken, or other uses in the kitchen as their intention, but they're also handy for a tool bench or as craft scissors.

I bought my first pair of Joyce Chen scissors before Amazon was even invented. I still have them. I bought them at the Boston Flower market as they were/ are the best scissors for cutting flowers in the garden. Now I buy them for myself and as gifts, I have a pair on every floor. My husband borrowed mine once too often so he now has two pair in his workshop. My kids have them, I gave them to their spouses as well. They never get dull, they never tire your hands, they cut better than all the other scissors I have ever used in 76 years and they NEVER break. I do live in fear that they will stop making them or degrade the quality but so far, so good! One of the best products you will ever acquire for so little money in terms of practicality , sturdiness and usefulness in your every day life.
