Awesome figure!
As a black series collector this is an awesome find.It is very poseable. It is also very realistic. However, the leg joints are a little bit stiff so watch out for that.Over all it is a very good figure and worth the money.

Hasbro's Star Wars Black Series Kanan Jarrus
Kanan Jarrus is one of the coolest Star Wars characters that isn't from any of the films. He's the only Jedi I know of that uses a blaster (after surviving Order 66, the Emperor's purge of the Jedi, Kanan renounced the Jedi ways and took up a blaster) and his Lightsaber has a cool function I've not seen before. The emitter nozzle disconnects from the hilt, and is holstered on the front of his belt and the hilt holsters on the back. Hasbro could have completely overlooked this and not done it, and yet they didn't ignore this feature at all and they totally delivered. The sculpt on this is really fantastic, there's just detail tooled all over it. This looks like Kanan, just more realistic. Kanan comes with his DL-18 blaster pistol that fits well into the holster, as well as his Lightsaber with removable blade and the hilt can be separated from the emitter nozzle and both pieces holster nicely onto his belt. Basically Kanan comes with everything he should, all the accessories look nice and fit well in his hands. The articulation is great as well, though it's on par with what we've been getting, the leg articulation works really well, the knees and ankle rockers are just great on this figure. You can put the saber or blaster in either hand no problem, which is nice.If you can't get enough of Kanan on Rebels he did have his own short lived comic title that's worth checking out, or you could get this fantastic figure. And it's currently super cheap, $12 here on Amazon. Not only is this a really solid Black Series figure, this is a solid action figure period with tons of detail, good paint applications and articulation for a stupid low price. If you don't already have this and you're a Black Series collector, you need it. I can't recommend Star Wars Rebels enough, it's a great show and scratches that Star Wars itch, as does this Kanan Jarrus action figure. This figure comes FULLY APPROVED.

Amazing figure!
Wow, What a figure this is. Makes you wonder if this and the Luke Skywalker that came out in the same wave are even made by the same company. This figure is well worth it's retail price, even more so if you're a fan of the rebels animated series.Articulation: Very good articulation. Despite single jointed elbows, they bend up to 90 degrees. The bulky looking shoulder armor piece does hinder articulation, but it's not bad at all. The shoulder can still swivel up quite a ways. Legs are standard black series and are great. Not inhibited by his thigh holster.Sculpt and Paint: Utterly fantastic. The head is sculpted and painted in a different way than Kanan appears on Rebels. This is more of a realistic version of the character, as if he was played by a live action actor. The result is great being very lifelike and this is the first time I've had no complaints about a human figure's face from Hasbro in quite some time. The rest of his costume is also pretty much perfectly sculpted and painted.Accessories: For accessories you get Kanan's blaster as well as his signature lightsaber. The blaster is nicely sculpted with some passable silver dry brushing. The lightsaber is also awesome. It splits into two and clips to his belt just like on the show and it's this sort of attention to detail that has been absent from the black series line at a time when it needs it most.Overall: Get this figure if you can, it's great!

Great figure overall.
Kanan Jarrus, or Caleb Dume, is a pretty cool character. A former Jedi padawan who survived Order 66, he's basically the new canon's Kyle Katarn. Kanan comes with his blue lightsaber and his DL-18 Blaster Pistol. The lightsaber blade can be removed, and the hilt can actually be broken down into two pieces and can be attached to his belt( I thought this was a neat feature, Kanan carries his lightsaber this way in the show, due to the fact that a lightsaber would attract Imperial attention). The DL-18 fits snug in the holster. The figure itself has great articulation, great paint apps, and attention to detail. I like that both hands can support holding either the lightsaber or the blaster pistol, so you could display him with both to kind of show off his Katarn side a bit. The only minor negative I can see is that I feel like they missed the mark a bit on the likeness. I realize that the animated characters have to go through a bit of re-imagining when they transition to the black series line but something is off about the face. This is minor overall, the rest of the figure really screams Kanan.Overall I think this is a pretty great figure. I love that the lightsaber can be broken down for storage, just like in the show, and I think the articulation and paint apps are on point. Hasbro has done a great job with this figure, I hope they plan on doing more characters outside of the movies. Get it while you can!

Great figure
Lots of articulation and very expressive in his poses. For $20 or less he's a great figure! He can store his gun on the side pouch. The gun fits nicely and stays in well. The light-saber fits in his right hand well, and with a bit of movement the left hand as well. Not much forward/backward movement at the abs, but the range of the legs is wide enough to make up for that. Paint and sculpting are sharp and spot on. Facial expression is a bit stern, but so is his character in the show so it's fitting. If you like Kanan, like the 6" line, then you'll like this figure!

Super cool figure
Super cool figure. Good paint apps, and pretty decent articulation. These are starting to pop up in retail stores now, but Amazon has a great price on this, and I don't have to fight the stores to get it. The biggest complaint that I have seen on this figure is that it doesn't look like Kanan from the show. It is a more realistic version of the character that stays consistent with the style of the 6 inch black series. It is a cool change from the cartoon, as I could totally see this character popping up in a star wars movie.

Great for playing but not for in box collectors.
Figure is great. Highly detailed figure of the Black Series line. These figures are becoming rare but too bad they are on Amazon. Again poor packaging by Amazon. Box came crumpled. Not worth paying for if you prefer mint box figure. I give up.

Well worth adding to your Black Series collection.
This figure of Star Wars Rebels character Kanan Jarrus is a fantastic addition to the Black Series range. Hasbro's figures vary in quality quite a bit, particularly when it comes to paint applications, but I'm happy to say this is one of the better ones. The sculpt is great - they've done a good job of translating the heavily stylised animated character into more realistic form - and the painting is nice and sharp. Kanan fits well with the aesthetic of the live action characters and doesn't look out of place standing next to them. He comes with a blaster, which can be stored in his holster, and a lightsaber, which neatly breaks down into parts that can be stored on his belt, just like in the TV show. Articulation is decent and on par with most other Black Series figures. It's fine, but I would like to have seen a greater range of arm wrist movement for lightsaber poses (please start doing split bicep joints again, Hasbro!).Hasbro's distribution of some Black Series figures seems to be rather sporadic for some reason, and as a result this figure has been rather scarce in the UK. I ended up getting it from an Amazon marketplace seller Toy Haven in the US. Bizarrely, this turned out to be a cheaper option than buying it in the UK, and it arrived quicker than some items I've purchased from UK based retailers.
