Great Budget Alternative To RODE-PSA1
Model: Puroma "MAS38" aka (38" arm") extends to 3 feet long.Story: I needed a upgrade for my mic setup so I was looking to see what's out there. I found this Puroma one and I looked at the reviews and most people said it's good. I bought this mic arm back in late 2021 and i'm now doing a review because why not it might be useful to some people. Let's just say that this mic arm has standed against the times and has not weared much if any at all. This might not be the most accurate use case though because I don't move or adjust the arm much unless i'm moving it out of the way to reach the back of my motherboard or unclamping it from my desk to clean.Pros: Built Sturdy, Arm doesn't move unintentionally (at joints), Clamp works perfect (for me)Cons: for some the arms at the joints where it can bend up and down might be a little too tight for some users preference but it works for meTL:DR - I recommend this to anyone looking for a budget alternative to the RODE-PSA1

Solid construction, not flimsy
Things I like:+ All metal arms, pivot joints, and post+ Durable C-clamp+ Decent-sized tension knobs for the post and metal adapter+ Included Velcro straps to secure wiring+ Sleek profile (no external springs)+ Nice and tight pivot joints -- nothing droops from how you set it

almost perfect, for any mic
Sturdy, a bit stiff, but it holds position well. The only issue is the tightening knob on the mic mount post itself…not large enough and I struggle to get it tight enough to hold the mic at odd angles.

Great Boom Arm
Had this boom arm for a little over 2 years and one of the plastic bits recently broke off causing it to be defective, they were able to send out a brand new one free of charge although my warranty was expired. The customer service was top tier and answered all my questions within 24 hours. The boom arm holds up great and is very sturdy and well built.

WOW, Best arm for all types of microphones
OMG, This arm is the best yet! I was beginning to give up on buying these microphone arms on Amazon after seeing one cheap arm after another. I read good reviews on this one and purchased it and I am glad I did. Finally, a heavy-duty arm that will support large microphones and pop filter mount as well. This arm was clearly made right and no corners were cut in the design! Well made!

STIFF
Bought a different mic MXL 770. It’s a lot heavier than the previous one I used, so there’s a slight issue with it keeping upright. Although after tightening it a lot, it holds up fine now.******This thing was SO stiff, I actually started to doubt it could even move. Of course after breaking it in, it worked a lot better. STILL stiff, but definitely not as bad. I’m sure it’ll “loosen” the more I use it.It’s very good quality though! So good for the price.

Works exactly as needed and advertised
The media could not be loaded. The microphone stand works exactly as it’s intended to. Supports the weight of my yeti microphone perfectly to however I adjust it. It stays put and does sag or rebound. Great find!

I got 3 stars even though I returned it. I think I got a defective one, but just ended up buying another kind that spins in 360 base without a screw. So I'm not hating on this product. Mine wouldn't like on turning. That's why I think I got a defective one and that it's not common. I do think there are better out there for the price. Looke for one with a 360 on the bottom without haveing to loosen a screw: personally anyway. The build quality is VERY sturdy.
