I kept my ammonia levels at about 2 or 3 ppm. Once the ammonia starts to decrease, test for nitrites. Keep ammonia around 2ppm until nitrates appear. Once nitrates appear, you should be pretty much done. **Q: How many ounces is this? Nothing in description on volume.
