My Grandson starts Kindergarten this year and he took selecting his first school bag very seriously. He choose his bag on line. When we gave it to him today he squealed with excitement, pouring over all the items that came with the bag. One very happy little boy. Definitely worth the money.

The backpack only came with the cheap plastic water bottle a small lunchbox and some little green pouch the size of a small change purse.... no ice pack or pencil case as described so I had to go out and buy these items. No better quality than the $20 dollar back-up back pack he got from Target, plus I had to spend another $30 + for a pencil case, ice pack, insulated bottle and lunchbox that can actually hold a lunch and keep things cold, only keeping it because my autistic grandson picked it out and really loves the back pack!

The book bag was cute, and my 8 year old son loved the design. Unfortunately, it did not last one week of school. Not sturdy- both zippers broke and rendered it useless in four days. We’re holding it together with binder clips until his new bag arrives. This bag may be ok for kindergarten or first grade if they don’t have many workbooks. It couldn’t handled my sons third grade books.

Loved this set when we first got it but throughout the year the zippers stopped working. First the front clear pouch one stopped connecting. Then one of the big back pack ones. It was ok because there are two zippers. By March both zippers on the big backpack broke. I tried to take it apart and rethread tue zippers but the teeth wouldn’t interlock. Lunch box made it through the year. Ice pack is nice but small. Overall disappointment that I didn’t get a full school year out of the bag.

Personally, I felt it was cheaply made and am surprised it has made it through the first six weeks of school. My 8 year old rated it 4 stars because he said he would like it better if it had two pockets instead of just one. We have never used the ice pack, it’s really too small to do much, if anything. He likes pencil pouch. The lunch box is about the size of a brown bag and stays closed about as well. Overall, we got what we paid for.
