I was going to use these for dessert plates... they are way too small... truly are made for a SMALL sushi roll.

These little trays have gotten a bad rap because people are trying to make them out to be something they are not. This is not a full plate. This is a little tray which can be used during a sushi making party for each person to serve himself from a main platter. It can also be used at a place setting to put chopsticks on or a rolled hot towel for cleaning hands before or after a meal if you want to pamper your guests. Great for a taste from the chef’s table. These are small and as sturdy as bamboo- one of the hardest woods, but not super thick. They add an element of the natural to the table. I will say a couple of the tray don’t appear to have been properly glazed so they lose a star for that. But these DO have the imperfections of a natural wood product so don’t expect the uniformity that ceramics provide. They should hold up just fine if used and cared for properly. Price could be a little better.

These are fun for those little extras. Makes your table setting look professional.
