Hamilco White Glossy Cardstock Paper - 8 1/2 x 11" 80 lb Cover Card Stock - 50 Pack

This is an 80lb cardstock that is Semi gloss coated, good for cardmakers, but it is NOT glossy. They should change the description to Semi Gloss. Great for laser printing and foiling though.

I was hoping to use this for foiling more intricate details, since smooth gloss paper tends to work better than standard copy paper.Printer: Brother HL-2395DW (B0764NWFP8)Toner: v4ink TN 760 (B00NOFNSVG)Laminator: Scotch TL901X (B0010JEJPC)Foil: Deco Foil Transfer Sheets (B06WVH49ZN)I tried printing a high-contrast, pure black and white image with thick lines from Inkscape for a test foiling project on this paper. I did about 10 different test prints varying the settings in the Brother Printing Preferences such as paper thickness (media type), DPI, Density Adjustment, and Improve Toner Fixing. Nothing seems lay down the toner correctly, it always comes out light and therefore the Deco foil doesn't adhere properly.If I print the exact same image on standard copy paper, the toner is dark and consistent, and the foil works as expected. I am using a third-party toner cartridge, but this same toner had no issue printing and foiling on Avery glossy sticker (B005IMAKYG).

It’s not glossy at all. More like a satin finish. I’m super disappointed. I’ve worked with glossy cardstock in the past and while this has a little shine to it I would consider it flat before I’d consider it glossy. 😢

Nancy Stamps recommends this paper for laser printing for foiling and it works great so far, only used it a couple of times, but they came out great and foiled beautifully.

This is one-sided glossy cardstock and cards I have created on the computer were beautifully printed on this cardstock. I wish it was sold in 100 sheet packaging. The box it comes in fits the 8 x 11/2 cardstock perfectly so you will never receive damaged edges. This is my “go to” choice for one-sided glossy.
