hard to use
I found the crimper very difficult to use. Almost impossible to hold the tiny terminals and wire in the tool, to crimp it.

I only use with 22 or 22 AWG since no adjustment, but makes for quick ONE-crimp connections.
This 28 to 18 crimper is very good quality. It has TWO sizes of crimp area for each pin type, so only ONE crimping is required. It crimps the wire and the insulation at the same time unlike other crimpers. I only use with 22 or 22 AWG since there is no adjustment. The flimsy pins provided cannot handle more than 20AWG. Get some of better quality! The ribbon cable is VERY small possibly 28AWG or 30AWG copper. The main problem for some wire sizes is the fixed crush; these have no adjustment for smaller or larger wire sizes specified that are usable with the crimper. I tested with 22AWG and 18AWG. the 18 was a tight fit. 22AWG is probably the ideal size to use this NON-adjustable crimper. probably will get the adjustable version for very small or 18AWG wire where I can control the crush and not BREAK the wire. Had one pin actually fall right off because the wire was over-crimped.
