These attached very easily to the lighting in my classroom
I use these in my elementary special education classroom. I initially got them because the florescent lighting would trigger my migraines and cause a lot of pain during a migraine attack. As a result, I would have the lights in my room off often, but that is not always conducive to learning. These attached very easily to the lighting in my classroom, and have greatly decreased the frequency of migraines that begin while I'm working. They have also helped create a more relaxing classroom environment. The lighting is not as harsh, and definitely feels more "homey" in the classroom. They do give a blue tint, and it did take a bit of getting used to, but my students and I have all adjusted well and prefer the lighting in our classroom to some of the other classrooms that don't have the light covers. I have recommended these light covers to colleagues, and would purchase them again as well.

A night and day difference!
I really can’t believe the difference this product made! I’ve replaced the need for almost all the fluorescent lights in my classroom with lamps and LED strips, but the four above my desk are controlled by the hallway light switch and can’t be turned off. I found myself getting bad headaches and hating being at my desk. I honestly had low expectations of this product, but wow, what a great result! The whisper white creates this gorgeous warm and lamp-like quality that totally negates the harshness of the fluorescents. It was so easy to put up with the magnets, and mine haven’t had any drooping at all. I’ve been inviting all my colleagues in to see how great these are, and I can’t recommend them enough. A must buy if you’re dealing with those awful fluorescent lights!

Easier on the Eyes!
10 years later....This past summer was incredibly busy, and I did not get these light covers up. I had several students who reported headaches and stomach aches almost daily. I was reminded of the light covers and made time to get them up. (and, now, I have enough to cover all 12 lights!) It had an almost immediate result!! The number of stomach aches and headaches dropped dramatically within a couple of days!! I absolutely love and recommend this product!! I am a 3rd grade teacher, and every year I have several students who complain of recurring head-aches and/or stomach-aches. They don't seem "obviously" sick in any other way, but I do believe that their heads and stomachs are hurting. I heard of these light covers when reading about students who have sensory issues. I decided to give them a try. I bought two sets, for a total of eight covers. I have twelve lights in my classroom, so I had to leave the four corner lights uncovered. As soon as I had them up, I could tell a difference (keeping in mind that I knew to look for a difference). The light was definitely softer. Most people did not notice them when they came into the room. My principal did not see or ask about them until February! And, yet....the best news of all is that I had a year of very few head and stomach issues (unless the students had other reasons for them such as a cold, allergies, etc.)!!! I had to take them down for the summer for cleaning, and the difference was again noticeable. I don't know if I would have had the same physical complaints from this year's group of students (the truest way to have tested this would have been to put them up in the 4th grade room to see what happened!), but I really do think that these covers contributed to a better year for students who are affected by the lighting we have in our classroom. They are fairly easy to put up. The magnets are very strong, so if I didn't get it exactly in the right spot the first time, I had a bit of up and down to do on the ladder to re-position it. But...it was very worth it!! Great product!!

Great for taming harsh fluorescent lights!
I bought a set of these "white" light filters as well as the blue ones. I work in a government office with the typical harsh fluorescent lights. Yet even though ours are high up (20 feet or so), the light still bothered me and my office mates, creating a sterile environment. I had originally wanted to get the fancy light diffusers with clouds printed on them. I was blocked by two reasons: those are incredibly expensive (this was coming out of my pocket) and the fixtures in our office are "open"; that is, they have open "louvers", not a hinged cover where I could replace the plastic with something else. My office mates and I have mixed opinions of these. The worst of the observations is that, in bulk, they reduce the amount of light rather significantly. But the reduced glare and harshness seem to more than make up for it. There's also split opinion on whether the "white" (really, off-white) or blue is better. I think it comes down to personal preference. I like them both equally. The reason I knocked off a star is because I didn't realize when I bought them that there was no frame. That is, it's just a folded piece of nylon with six (not 4 as described) magnets sewn into the border. This made putting them up (again, up to a 20 foot ceiling) rather difficult without a ladder (didn't want to notify facilities that we were putting up non-approved light covers!). It was doable, but a challenge, especially with the side magnets constantly wanting to stick to one another. Having even a modest frame to keep the rigidity of the fabric would be preferable. While you can notice the fold lines once installed, it's not really a problem. And the filtered light helps me focus and has reduced my eyestrain and headaches.

Seem to be working well, although the 'glow' is slightly more 'yellowy' than expected.

With long Covid…light is painful some days. Frequent headaches. This really does the trick. It soothes the light and creates a soft and tranquil ambiance to work in. Students like it.

Love these! Takes the glare away and makes the work day so much more comfortable. I wish I bought these earlier! I have had less headaches and hoping it helps stop migraines from developing too. Super easy to install. Just use the sewn in magnets to stick to the ceiling tile frame and voila!
