Fantastic upgrade
Bought the front and rear version. These are a huge improvement on the original single pivot brakes on my 1980’s era road bike. Installation was fairly straightforward.

Solid, Heavy brakes
I needed a new rear brake because I lost the acorn nut on my old brake. Some folks may not like this because it seems kinda heavy. I, on the other hand, like it because I don't care much about weight. I care about toughness and braking power. In both of these categories they appear to fulfill their mission.Compared to my Diacompe it feels just a tad spongy but the stopping power is better than the Diacompe. I think mostly because of the new brake pads though. All in all it has plenty of stopping power and the calipers are solid all around. In fact, I even prefer the Tiagara over the 105. It just seems like the Tiagara is sturdier (and cheaper). I will live with a little extra weight which, in the final equation, does not amount to much anyway. I don't understand why cyclists go all crazy over itsy bitsy weight savings. Just diet a little and you can save way more weight than saving a fraction of a gram here and there in equipment.

Excellent upgrade for my old CAAD8.
Happy to have chosen these brakes. Great fit and allows for pad alignment with the wheel. Prior Promax brakes didn't allow for alignment.Huzzah!
