Absolut Empfehlenswert

Excellent
Very pleased with these ankle bands. They are sturdily built yet very light, soft and comfortable to wear. Their considerable width provides a huge reflective area (they are black inside - if you wanted to wear them inside out). Have worn mine for a daily commute for about 5 months now and the velcro fastenings are still secure (I've found other brands come unstitched quite quickly). The velcro fastenings are about 9cm long so can accommodate narrow ankles or flared trousers (I'm not ashamed to wear them!). Mislaid my ankle bands for a day and missed them so much I ordered a second pair as a back-up. Highly recommended.

Wear them every which way and bounce some beams in peace
These have fulfilled their purpose and more. I selected these as my first piece of visibility gear, and wear them for running and walking at night. I wanted something removable that I could wear with any jacket and it had to be effective. I considered others that involved bright colors as well, but along the way I realized that I just wanted the reflective part (for fashion reasons as well as functionality) and found these. The product pictures sold me, and I can confirm their real-life potential. As reported by everyone else, they are super-bright when lit up by headlights; the reflectivity and surface area are spot-on. It's pretty great the first time you wear them and all of a sudden cars give you a lot of room and consideration!I am small, but wanted these for wearing over jackets. I was prepared to repurpose these if the fitment didn't work out for me. The length of the ankle bands fit the bill and more. I wear these around my upper arms (over winter layers) without issue, and they also fit without layers. They also fit me around ankle and knee for biking without my pant leg rolled up (their intended purpose). If I wanted to wear them around my wrists (I don't especially), I could even add more velcro elements (they make a wristband size as well). These bands have a comfortable amount of stretch that grips without being too uncomfortably restrictive. I have noticed that the reflective surface is cracked from being stretched to fit (this happened right away) but hasn't flaked off, which I was concerned about a year ago (when they were new) but not so much a year later. So far, I have refrained from washing them and they have a few smudges that I would rather live with than mess with. Looking at them now, I guess I can vouch for them working even when dirty (they deserve a wash, though).I often have these bands in my pocket and pop them on if I'm caught out after dark. I also have blinky l.e.d. armbands because I thought they'd be more attention-grabbing without the need for headlights (or whatever) to hit them (I decided this once I started biking). The blinkers do achieve what I wanted, with the limitations of being useless in daylight and annoying me to death, even when worn pointing backward. The end result is that I often wear an owl band on one arm and a l.e.d. blinking band on the other. I turn on the blinker when I'm around car traffic, then turn it off once I'm less in harm's way (the bike path, track, quiet neighborhood etc) and let the owl band do the work, leaving me in peace. In short, these bands are exactly what I was looking for at an attractive price. All around, the owl bands are more utilitarian for me than the l.e.d. bands (though I do use both). These are worth every penny and I would not hesitate to replace them if needed. If you're in the market for something like this, I think that you've found the best reflectivity for your buck. There are no downsides to the investment, just take a tape measure and pick your size.
