Just works
Had an old heavy Bogen tripod with a pan and tilt head. I did not want to invest in a lead sled. So, I thought I'd give this a try at the range to zero in a rifle at 100 yards.Well this is not a LED sled, and provided enough stability to get my rifle zeroed in very well... And with reasonable efficiency. I took a few more shots than I would have.. but I enjoyed the experience. Since my rifle is a single shot break open, it was easy to bore sight too. There was no marring to my foreend/stock, and it was able to hold my G2 223 rifle with no issue.I also tried a very small carbine that was too small so the clamp did not get small enough. But that was expected. Just pay attention to the size of the opening for what you're using it for.I don't know what could be better in a higher end version of this. I found it perfectly adequate. I could easily put this on a monopod and sit in a blind and have a lot of flexibility and some good support.Side note, it does not dissipate any recoil and you still have to support the rifle as much as you would if it wasn't on the tripod. So you still need a good firm hold and in that way is much different than the lead sled. I prefer this personally, just stating the obvious for those that may not know this.

Amazing Saddle!
This saddle is great! Very Durable and easy to disassemble. Not only that but its very east to mount and holds on very well. I dont see any possible way for someone to break this thing considering its made out of steel. I definitely recommend, its affordable and just as good if not better as other brands!
