I was concerned that my Octocinclus Dwarf Catfish would not get enough to eat when I added them to my 1 month old 40 gallon aquarium so I purchased Bacteria AE and used it to seed rocks in my Quarantine tank, it was very effective at putting biofilm on rocks and it was safe for my Octo Cats, Hillstream Loaches and my other biofilm eaters, Just make sure you use safe doses, the appearance should look like the tip of a tooth pick

If you aren’t a shrimp breeder and you don’t have a colony over like 200 DO NOT use the full dose in the instructions, use about the size of a grain of rice for a colony under 20 other than that great food shrimp love it

Excellent, really stimulates green algae growth and my neos, nerite, and guppy love eating it. As everyone else says, use slightly less than recommended and dissolve it prior to adding it to your tank. I cover the bottom layer of the incoming measuring “spoon” for a 10 gallon tank. Excellent product otherwise!

Can't go wrong with shrimps. It makes a green wall in two weeks time, but be careful. Use very little. It also makes the water smell which is normal? Because it's the bacteria keep that in mind when you use it

My shrimp are now surviving. I e given shrimp a shot 4 times with no success. This last try things are finally going great and the only change made is this food. Lifetime customer here!

Seems to be working great, I dose it way less than what the label recommends. The container it comes in may look small but it will last along time considering how I’m dosing the tank making it worth while cost wise. I’ve noticed a better survival rate of my baby shrimps since adding this in.

Fantastic product, I add a small amount as I have a community tank. Since I added BacterAE shrimp seem a bit more active and comfortable than before. The excess bio film is good for snails and hillstream loaches in the tank.
