EDIT: You know, I really dragged these lovely blankets a year ago because they are sort of stretchy and my strong baby could wiggle out of his swaddle. Since then I've learned a few things:1) My baby is a nut case, hates to be swaddled and after the age of 3 months would never tolerate it until he was too exhausted to resist, at which point it's not necessary. I'm told most babies enjoy being swaddled so my experience was an outlier.2) These blankets are beautiful, a lovely gauzy fabric with prints that are classy and lovely. I actually got to where I looked forward to washing them because they're pretty and I got to look at them as I was folding them. They're easy to fold too and if you are pressed for space they roll up to almost nothing.3) My kid, who as I mentioned hates any kind of weight or restraint on his body, loves these blankets. They're super light, air flows easily, yet they give just a bit of warmth.4) They have held up amazingly over countless washes. They don't hold stains; the design fades a little after a hundred washes or so but they still look good and feel even softer than they used to if that's possible.So they have got all that going for them, which is really great.--Original review follows:--A swaddle cloth, formerly known as receiving blanket, is for swaddling a newborn baby. Swaddling is a form of tight wrap with a cloth. The intent is to provide firm pressure from all sides of baby's body, replicating the womb environment and restraining the flailing motions of the limbs that increase baby's agitation.This cloth is too thin to restrain a limb. My one day old can wriggle both arms out within 1 minute no matter what swaddle is applied. Now I will tell you that it is possible to restrain a limb with this tissue-thin, transparent, stretchy muslin cloth - if you wrap tightly enough - and as I did so, I noticed I was hurting my baby and impairing his respiration.The cloth does breathe - that is true - but it is so large and there is so much excess material that by the time you are done, you're looking at 4 to 6 layers, which spoils breathability.Finally, the giant tags on this are annoying to remove.Bring home swaddling cloths from the hospital.

I initially received one of these blankets in the Amazon baby registry box. I loved it so much I had to buy another. I have numerous different brands of muslin blankets and this is by far my favorite. So soft and lightweight. Other muslin blankets take some washes to get this soft, but then they also get thinner. This one is already soft and holds up in quality. I also like that it has a nice tag with pictures of how to swaddle. Although these are also great for other uses like covering a car seat to protect newborn from sun, covering when breastfeeding, and now that my baby is old, for snuggling! These are especially perfect for summer babies!

We originally got this in the sample pack for our baby registry. I didn't think much about it. We had tons of other blankets. Our little one got so attached to his "special blankie" wr had to buy more and give the other blankets away!This blanket has been super versatile, especially when the comfort of a blanket is needed in the Georgia heat. But it's also surprisingly warm when it's cold! And we don't go ANYWHERE without it. So super nice that it washes easy and dries quick.

This blanket is like magic! The thin breathable fabric is perfect for my girls. They like to cover their faces to fall asleep sometimes and with this I do not worry about suffocation at all. I received one as a free gift, loved it so much, I purchased another. My 7 year old son LOVES/is addicted to hedgehogs and he now wants me to buy a third, as he wants one for himself. I just may buy him one as well.UPDATE: You Guys, 4 YEARS LATER, this blanket is still in great shape. One of My now 4 year old Twins has been completely OBSESSED with her blanket....she still takes it EVERYWHERE! So much, we had to give her both so we could pretend it's the same blanket when one is in the washer. The other twin's blanket was replaced with a pink flower version and she's been over it.Get the blanket!

I absolutely LOVE this Muslin swaddle blanket. It has SO many uses. I actually wish now that I would of gotten a two or three pack of them. I use it for a blanket as seen in the picture, a cover up for the car seat or breast feeding, a swaddle blanket when he’s not in the Muslin swaddle sleep sack (Which I Also highly recommend getting.) My son is only a week old and we use this blanket so much I have already washed it like 4x, and it just gets softer and softer with each wash. Amazing buy, amazing find, and my only regret is not buying more. (Which I may end up doing.) The only thing I can say is that I wish they were a little cheaper, but definitely worth it.

Fantastic swaddle. I love the simple monocrome look because it's gender neutral. I got my first one free (the hedgehog print) with the amazon baby registry. It's really nice right out of the box and after the first wash it was super soft. I've had it a few months now and it washes well. It does have a couple of small pulls because of my wedding ring but that is my fault and the nature of anything muslin. I would definitely order more because the price is really affordable and very comparable to our more expensive Aden and Anis swaddle. Plus for anything with babies it's best not to spend a ton of money.

These are by far my favorite swaddles!The fabric is so soft and snuggly. This swaddle is stretch and breathabley, and I feel like it fits better and forms better to baby. Other swaddles are very basic and tightly woven it's basically the difference of trying to put on leggings vs Carhartt pants. There's just more give with this swaddle.Definitely my favorite brand for all fabric baby essentials (like burp cloths)!

This swaddle is SO BIG!!!!! Definitely not fit for a newborn (it actually might but my baby was 5lbs). Now that he is closer to 9lbs I am able to use it without have a ton of extra material and not knowing what to do with itSuper super lightweight and thin so it’s perfect for summer babies. The designs are cute too. I have the zebra and sheep ones

A good size, washed well and does soften after a few washes. Print is quite light, would have liked to see it a little more. Still not got the hang of swaddling really, but this is a lovely lighter blanket to have for baby on warmer days so am still pleased with it.

I gave this to my best friend's baby as a present and each time I see him heIs wrapped up in it. Many blankets are too heavyweight for this time of year but this is perfect as a light covering for a sleeping baby.

Gorgeous product... Has been totally invaluable. Washes brilliantly and kept my newborn baby friend Isla cosy and comfortable.
