My ice machine stopped pulling water in to make ice not long ago. We called the repair man and he ran a full diagnostic on the machine. He took the filter out and the water started flowing again! I was shocked because the filter says you should replace every 9 months. We got 3.5 months out of the last one and we also have soft water.I installed the new filter today and everything seems to be back to normal. This filter is expensive, but it’s worth it. The ice is clear and consistent in size and tastes good.Have confidence buying this filter

The filter was not factory sealed in plastic. I have been purchasing these filters from various sources since 2015 and the filters were always factory sealed in plastic, and always fit my KitchenAid ice maker. Not sure if this was a used filter, but it fits, so I am keeping it. The Everydrop ice filter filter works, so I will purchase more. I have been having a difficult time locating a F2WC911 filter that fits my KitchenAid Ice Maker. This is an ongoing issue and seems to be an issue that started around 2021 and still persists today. Everything costs more and most items are vastly inferior to items that I purchased prior to 2021, and frequently do not meet the specifications advertised.

I was buying from a local appliance store but they were back ordered. I found the filter on Amazon for about $30 less than what the local store was charging. Will keep buying from Amazon from now on.

Seems to filter the water for my ice machine well. I already have a whole house filter but my ice maker will not function without the filter installed. It decidedly adds new layer to the system. Best ice I have ever had true crystal clear cubes.
