I bought this to clear-coat bumpers I was repainting. A mechanic had our van and drove it very fast down a dirt/sand/gravel road and chipped up the two-tone color, along the bottom of both sides of the van. After owning the van for 18 years with no damage, there were dozen of very visible pits/chips behind each wheel that could be seen from far away - some going through to the body color, below the two tone. Just to experiment, I sprayed this on all the affected areas and 99% of the pits, disappeared. You can only see a few tiny spots where the body color still shows through, but they are not noticeable, unless you get down really low and close to them. I can touch those up separately. This inexpensive can of wheel clear-coat saved us from having to have the entire lower sides of the van repainted and me having to lose my temper with the mechanic and/or us having to sue the mechanic. We are so grateful. I didn't even have to use one whole can on all of those 4 affected areas, combined. The repairs on those areas are holding up well. I have high hopes when I finally touch up the bumpers I bought them for and am confident this clear-coat would work well on wheels. I will be using this to clear-coat hubcaps/wheels that I have to paint, to refresh the look on customers' cars.
