For example, we currently offer free shipping on this product. **Q: How does the oring stay inplace? i tried the inner grove of lid then i'm unable to seal. if i use the outter grove inside the lid the oring falls out.** A: i have 4 of these fermentors and it's only been a problem in one. The Oring goes in the outer ring with the little nubs sticking out to hold it in place. I usually have to sanitize the lid and oring. Let them get at least mostly dry and then it seems to hold better. I haven't had any contamination issues with this procedure. This has only been an issue in my newest fermentor, I think the tube diameter may be slightly smaller. I'm considering finding a food safe silicone to permanently fix it in place. **Q: Is this FDA approved** A: Hi Ian, Do you mean is it made of HDPE material? The FDA has nothing to do with fermentation vessels. They are only involved with Food and Drugs. It holds debris a bit more tenaciously than glass, but PBW and hot water knock that down pretty readily. I also use this to brew beer and have found retention of hop aroma a bigger challenge. When switching from beer to wine, I've cleaned it 2x with PBW to reduce that. All told, I really like it. I ran 1 12-gallon batch of Cab and 4 6-gallon batches of various Italian reds through it.
