Avoid Other Fake Silk Pillowcases!!! This one is real.
My latest encounter with the Lilysilk silk pillowcase has been nothing short of delightful. However, finding this top-tier product was not a straightforward journey. Here's a brief recount of my experience to guide fellow consumers away from fraudulent vendors who substitute true quality for deceptive information. In my quest for an affordable silk pillowcase, I was initially drawn to a vendor offering a significantly cheaper product, nearly 40% less than the Lilysilk variant. Unfortunately, the bargain turned out to be a ruse. The thread and momme counts were not as advertised, and the quality was severely compromised. This unfortunate event emphasized the necessity of careful consideration when buying silk pillowcases. While the appeal of a bargain is hard to resist, it's crucial to know exactly what you're purchasing. This is where Lilysilk shines. Their transparent product descriptions and commitment to quality assure a reliable shopping experience. The Lilysilk silk pillowcase exceeded my expectations. The fabric is incredibly smooth, the construction is flawless, and the product longevity, as indicated by the accurate momme count, is assured. It has greatly enhanced my beauty sleep, reducing hair frizz and preventing facial sleep lines.Lilysilk raises the standard for other vendors with their dedication to genuine quality. They provide clear product specifications, allowing customers to make informed decisions. With Lilysilk, you know you're getting your money's worth without any hidden shocks. In short, the Lilysilk silk pillowcase gets my wholehearted endorsement for those seeking a truly luxurious sleep experience. I'd also urge caution when considering cheaper alternatives. Many vendors resort to false advertising, sacrificing quality to lower costs. Remember, investing in real quality saves you disappointment and unnecessary spending in the end.One of Lilysilk's key features is the thoughtful inclusion of a zipper closure. This practical design keeps the pillow securely in place, maintaining the neatness of the pillowcase and offering peace of mind.Rest assured that Lilysilk is a legitimate company that doesn't employ deceitful practices like some vendors I've encountered. Trusting Lilysilk means investing in an authentic silk pillowcase without any compromises or deceit. To sum up, for those seeking a mix of luxury, comfort, and authenticity, the Lilysilk silk pillowcase is a prime choice. Their transparency and dedication to customer satisfaction set them apart from vendors who mislead unsuspecting shoppers. Choose Lilysilk for a blissful sleep experience, confident in the knowledge that your investment is genuinely worthwhile.Pros:Luxurious Feel: Offers a truly luxurious sleep experience.Accurate Product Specifications: Precisely represents thread and momme counts.Exceptional Craftsmanship: High-quality construction ensures durability.Beauty Benefits: Reduces hair frizz and prevents facial sleep lines.Transparency: Product specifications are clearly stated, fostering consumer trust.Cons:Price: Might seem pricey compared to other vendors, but the superior quality justifies the cost.Availability: Availability or shipping times may vary depending on location.

A decent “starter” silk pillowcase
Update: I had rated this a 3* and am increasing it to 5*. It is now Jan 2024 and I’m still using this pillowcase. For at least a year now I’ve just been tossing it in with my other sheets, no net bag, and into the dryer on low and have seen zero issues crop up with it as a result of this less careful treatment. There is a bit of wear on the zipper seams now from being removed and replaced so many times but it does still work. The stains came out and none of the loose threads unraveled to create an issue. I would definitely purchase again.Out of the box this pillowcase had a lot going for it. It came in beautiful packaging and was nicely wrapped in tissue paper. This was unfortunately marred somewhat by a sticky barcode sticker that couldn’t be neatly removed. I thought the silver color was very pretty, the zipper pretty discreet (although the pull does hang, it hasn’t bothered me), and the black brand exterior tag tastefully small. It fit my standard pillows well - fairly snug so there wasn’t a bunch of extra fabric but it wasn’t a struggle to insert them either (although the zipper does not extend all the way across so you do need to be careful). It didn’t slip around on my bed (or my head) as I feared, although the trade off was that it didn’t feel quite as slip-y to the touch as I had imagined. It is comfortable, although not anymore comfortable or cool really than my regular pillowcase (which I already liked). I haven’t really noticed a different in my hair or skin but if the sheets you sleep on aren’t very smooth to the touch I think there’s a good chance this could help you reduce breakage and frizz to your hair. I still sometimes wake up with sleep lines but caused by my face being smushed in a weird way, not due to creases in the pillowcase.I’ve noticed some spots on my pillowcase that you can see in the picture that I assume are from either my skin or hair products. This would’ve occurred after they’d had some time to sink in as I’m not applying them and then immediately laying down. I don’t consider this an issue with this product, just a consequence of it being real silk, it’s just something to keep in mind. I washed the pillowcase according to instructions (I chose handwash, done in cold water with a silk friendly detergent) and it washed well and was dry in a few hours, although this didn’t make a ton of difference in the appearance of the spots. The one significant con of this pillowcase unfortunately is the stitching. After just a few nights sleep I’ve noticed two places where the stitching seems to be unraveling (one is pictured, the other looks much the same). I can’t think of anything it would’ve caught on to cause that. I fear it’s only a matter of time before the pillowcase has holes, and I am going to feel like I need to wash the pillowcase less than I’d prefer because I worry moving the pillows in and out will cause them to unravel faster. If you want to purchase multiples, or you want to try a silk pillowcase out for the first time, or you know you use products that are likely to stain, etc. I think this is a decent starter silk pillowcase. I’m glad I gave it a shot. But if you’re looking for a luxury product experience that will last you this may not be what you’re looking for.

Very comfortable!
I had purchased what I thought was a silk pillowcase years ago to care for my curly hair (I forget from where) but it was rough and not kinda noisy every time I moved around and I just didn't like it so I got rid of it (and also gave up on my curlygirl routine). Well, fast forward to now and I decided to give it another shot (both the pillowcase and bringing my curls back to life) but really did my research this time. I read reviews like crazy. I didn't want to spend a buttload of money but I also wanted to find something that would I knew was real silk because I had suspected what I had before wasn't. Turns out I was right because this is so soft and feels so luxurious to sleep on! And I think it was a pretty good deal as far as price although I still paid more than I would have liked (but i'm cheap like that lol). However, I still think it was well worth the price. FYI it does have a sort of chemical smell when you take it out of the package so just wash it (per the washing instructions) and the smell goes away. Really you should be washing all your linens and clothes before using them anyway so that should be a no brainer. But I digress. I highly recommend this silk pillowcase!
