Does it work well on kinky, coily haur

I have 4c hair. It works well. I especially noticed a difference with blow drying. I typically mix it with creaper stuff because the bottle is small but, as a product junky, this is something I always come back to. TRY IT!

I love Giovanni leave in conditioner and their other hair products. I have long, dry hair and it keeps it from tangling and softer.

For those who've tried this and understand the porosity of your hair, is it too drying for low porosity and too greasy for high? Or vice versa?

I have low porosity hair. The Giovanni leave in along with the 50:50 conditioner have been the best leave in and conditioner I have encountered over the years for me personally. The leave in is light weight, curl defining and when sealed with an oil and/ or gel my hair always feels moisturized. I usually purchase them on the Giovanni website, Marshall’s, tj max, and home goods. I’ve encountered too many fake hair products being sold on amazon. Hope this helps.
