There are 3 parts that you insert into the hinge's rectangular's opening: a metal tongue and two triangular hooks. You want to insert the tongue in the middle of the hole and then push forward then insert the hooks.If you try to snap the rear part first, like I did at first, you can crush the tongue and bend it too sharply, then afterwards it's much harder to insert it: I had to push back on it with a screwdriver. Or maybe it was already crushed before, since I was sent a torn package without any instructions. But even if I received refurbished dampers, I managed to install all of them once I understood how to proceed.Once in place, they work much better than the old plastic dampers that came with my Ikea kitchen 12 years ago. Those were screwed in the cabinets, but would twist and fail to work whenever the screw became loose, not to mention that some broke when the plastic became brittle.

Used the packs of 20 (bought 2 packs) to retrofit all of the cabinet doors in our house. Installing the devices is a snap (litterly). Just poition them over the hinge and push lightly. They snap on and deliver a nice soft close. We got by using only one per door - some larger doors may take two in order to effectively limit close speed. If the don't snap on easily bend the prongs slightly until they do.Great product !

Hinge needs to have a square hole to snap in to. Didn’t fit on my bath cabinets but work great on the kitchen. I love the new soft close and I was able to install easily with out any tools
