Peripera Ink Tint Serum 02 Rosy Around, 4g

This is an amazing lip color. I got it in 02 - Rosy Around. I am a Fitzpatrick type I redhead (AKA super pale.) The first photo is the tint freshly applied, the second is it after blotting. It’s super light, not sticky, and moisturizing, and stains your lips the prettiest rosy red after blotting. Let me tell you, one application of this lasted through a tray of a nachos and a charcuterie board. My lips were still stained and pretty at the end of the night. This is my new HG lip color. It has a very very light flavor, and as someone extremely sensitive to fragrance I had no issues. Highly recommend!

So, right off the bat, this stuff isn't moisturizing. In fact it dried the ever-living heck out of my lips. Like dry peeling lips.But what I learned from trial and error is to throw a layer of oil over my lips like Jojoba and let it soak in while I do my other makeup. I dab this stuff on with a q-tip or brush so I get that lovely Rosy tint, without making the color too dark (it's extremely pigmented right off the included brush).Lips are pretty, color lasts all day, and doesn't transfer to my mask. With the oil, it doesn't dry the crap out of my lips.There's a slight amount of dryness at the end of the night, but I use a dab of Vaseline to take it off completely and that takes care of the issue.

I applied it, let it dry, and then ate a quesadilla. It stayed on through it (granted I tried to eat cleanly). I wanted something more "moisturizing" because my other lipstick bullets and matte liquid lipsticks are drying and very drying (especially now in the winter in a drier region). I applied lip balm beforehand, and my lips don't feel dry at all yet.Initial application was interesting... Definitely avoid tasting it if you can, but that might be difficult when trying to apply on the inner part of the lips. It wasn't unbearable by any means, and it didn't take away much from the experience, though. I went with pretty sheer coverage, so I didn't experience too much of that taste or any "stickiness" that might appear when opening and closing my lips if I had applied a lot. Initial application felt cool to the touch. Naturally, there is a little bit of transfer.

The packaging is really adorable on this product, and it has a pleasant smell and flavor. However, I noticed that without lip liner, this serum feathers and bleeds out of the lip line. I have not tried liner with it yet but instead have been using it as a liquid blush/cheek stain and LOVE IT for that use. It gives my cheeks a dewy blushed look but does not clog pores or cause breakouts. Overall, I would still buy it in other shades and would experiment with lip liners to try to make it work on my lips. It is well worth the affordable price.

It dried my lips a lot. Tint is very light.
